The Pieces of Eight are an infamous crew of pirates led by Captain Corin Drace, who commands eight fleets totaling nearly seven-hundred ships. They are the bane of the three seas of Praetoria, sailing its coasts and raiding the merchant and trading ships that carry goods from one port to another.

And things have only gotten worse since they aligned themselves with the Chaos Empire. Not only do the Pieces of Eight control the seas, but their pirates can be found in practically every port, where they take what they want from the ships in the harbor before heading to a local tavern to have a good time—namely, getting falling-down drunk and riding roughshod over the locals.

First, I make the sketch.

Then, I add the most darker colors for each part of her body.

Now, I distribute the lights over the character.

Ahora, distribuyo las luces sobre el personaje.

I try to give it depth with different layers of colors.

Intento darle profundidad con diferentes capas de colores.

To do the background I apply a gradient, and I draw some clouds behind.

Para hacer el fondo aplico un degradado, y dibujo algunas nubes detras.

I add luminic effects over the gem and I distribute the shadows over the clouds.

Añado efectos luminicos sobre la gema y distribuyo las sombres sobre las nubes.

Finally, I add a shade effect over the waves and clouds, and its done. ^^

Finalmente, agrego un efecto de sombreado sobre las olas y nubes, y esta listo. ^^
