THE LORE

image.png

For an age the towering beast had slumbered in the bowels of the deepest caverns of fire, a weapon forged for a war lost to memory or myth.

Into an invocation drawn from a rotting manuscript the High Magus of the Crypteia poured all his malice and hate. Drawing the razored flint across his palm he sealed the pact, completing the summoning, calling forth the great flaming homunculus, the Forgotten One.

As the great beast crawled from the burning pit, the Magus bade it roam free and armed it with a broad blade twice as tall as any man. It dwells there now, birthing others of its kind and passing on the knowledge of their making, and serves at the pleasure of the Magus as a hand of Chaos.
Of those that remained in the high vaulted chamber, the wizard's council stood in unison, confronting the hex-bound High Magus of the Crypteia Turbulum, detailing his blasphemous crimes and sentencing him to death. As one they began the great working that would end him and repair his damage to the veil.

They were at first surprised and confused by his mad cackling laughter until the great flaming form emerged from the living rock. As the beast roared, the Magus' cackling rose hysterically as the council scattered in terror.

BATTLE RULESET

The battle requires 46 mana and the active elements are Fire, Earth, and Death.
There are three rules in this battle (Up Close & Personal, Armored Up, and Ferocity)

image.png

3. UP CLOSE & PERSONAL
Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in the battle.
Note: Choose a summoner that increases/reduces Melee attack or Mylor. Keep a monster with Shield, Retaliate or Thorns in the first position. Reach, Sneak, Opportunity help in this ruleset.

image.png

3. ARMORED UP
All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Note: Use magic attacks, but the opponent will do the same, so focus on HP. Is countered by Rust or Wizard of Eastwood's summoner ability.

3. ARMORED UP
All Monsters have the ferocity ability. The Monster with this ability does double damage to targets with the taunt.

MY LINE UP

image.png
For this battle, I used Tarsa as my summoner which adds 1 melee damage and 1 hp to its team members, it is perfectly matched with the ruleset wherein only monsters with melee attack may be used in the battle. I decided to pick up a tank with a high number of armor and high hp. Forgotten One is the best monster to use as a tank in this battle since it has those qualities and it has also high melee damage. Next in line is a monster with reach and enrage ability which has increased melee attack and speed when damaged. Another melee attack monster is Legionnaire Alvar which is a Giant killer and has the demoralizing ability. I also choose Disintegrator and Tenyi Striker with the sneak and dodge abilities. Tusk the wide in the last row has the inspired ability which also adds 1 melee attack to its team members.
