CARD STATISTICS

image.png

Conqueror Jacek is a legendary fire summoner from the chaos legion with 6 mana cost. This summoner adds 2 speed to each monster in its team. The scattershot ability is also given to its friendly monster at the start of the battle which enables the monster to hit a random enemy target, and also the piercing ability which means that if a Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health.

THE RULESET FOR THIS BATTLE

image.png

For this battle, all monsters had 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. It is a high mana cap battle and the active elements are only Fire, Water, Life, and Death.

INTRODUCING MY LINE UP

CARD NAMEDESCRIPTION
Conqueror JacekSince it is a high mana cap battle, I decided to use this summoner with 6 mana. It adds 2 speed combined with scattershot and piercing ability.
Grum FlamebladeOne of the most powerful and most used tanks in the fire deck due to its abilities. At level 2, it has 3 abilities which are bloodlust, void, and void armor. Perfect and matched with the ruleset as the armor of this monster will have 2 additional and magic attacks from the enemy will hit the armor first before its health because of void armor ability.
Magi of ChaosA neutral monster at level 3 that has 3 magic damage attacks.
Efreet ElderA rare card with a magic attack and last stand ability, it gains increased stats if it's the only Monster on the team alive
Djinn ApprenticeA rare card from the chaos legion with also a magic attack.
TechnowizologistA card from the Riftwatchers edition. Another card with the magic attack, it has also a stun ability which causes an enemy to skip its next turn when stunned. This Monster also does double damage to targets with the Taunt ability
Lava SpiderA monster with ranged attack with snipe ability, it was positioned in the last line, it targets enemy monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.

THE ENEMY'S TEAM

image.png

The opponent used life element, General Sloan being the summoner which adds 1 ranged attack to its team members with the same attack. He used Uriel the Purifier as his tank which is also one of the most used tanks which have recharged, flying, and healing abilities. He also positioned monsters with magic attacks in the second and third row and ranged attacks in the backline.

THE BATTLE

The first to make move in round 1 was Efreet Elder together with Djinn Apprentice and Technowizologist, they directly hit the enemy's hp, and for this round, the opponent's last-row monster "Prismologist" was killed.

image.png

image.png

Round 2 is also a point for my team, magic attacks continue to target the enemy's hp. Pelacor arbalest was also killed in this round. Also in this round, the tank of the team was killed by Uriel because of its 3x damage. Goodbye to Grum Flameblade.

image.png

image.png

Round 3 is a good round for my team since two monsters in the opponent's team were killed, Djinn Renova and Time Mage.

image.png

image.png

For this round, Venari Crystal Smith, the tank healer, was killed by Efreet Elder. Uriel was left alone in round 4.

image.png

Since Uriel the Purifier has recharge ability and only attacks every other round, it doesn't have the chance to attack the enemy at round 5, therefore, it was a chance by Jacek's team to kill this strong tank.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?

Yes, my strategy worked well in this battle. Since it is a 44 mana cap battle, I chose Conqueror Jacek as my summoner which cost 6 mana and adds 2 speed perfectly combined with scattershot and piercing ability, and since the ruleset is to give additional 2 armors to each monster, I decided to use cards with magic attacks which will directly target the enemy's health and to think that the enemy will also use magic attack monsters, I decided to place Grum Flameblade as a Tank because of its Void Armor ability, which means that magic attacks hit this monster's armor before its health. I think it is perfectly matched with the ruleset because it gains additional 2 armors.

WHAT WILL I TRY DIFFERENTLY NEXT TIME?

Nextime, I will try to add a tank heal in my lineup like Beetle Queen which restores a portion of the monster in the first position's health each round, or maybe I can also add a monster with the Repair ability to restore some armor to the friendly monster whose armor has taken the most damage and it was Grum Flameblade. But overall, it was a Great Battle!
