Share your battle weekly challenge Theme: CARRION SHADE

Hi guys, for this week's "Share your battle challenge", our theme is CARRION SHADE.

THE LORE

"A carrion shade is a dark-winged bird that feeds off of the dead bodies of animals and people. They often flock to battlefields and dangerous parts of the wilderness where there are sure to be corpses. They travel in small groups and have no natural predators. Most people fear the carrion shades, though. For to see a group following you is to know your life is in danger. Tales whispered by the elder wise women claim that if you see a single carrion shade perched outside your home, then someone you love will die that night.
A drizzle cast the forest road in shades of gray. The forest itself gave off a mournful, lonely atmosphere. The trees bowed in the silence and stillness. And it was only broken by the fluttering of wings.

A group of carrion shades surrounded a humanoid body. A person left on the side of the road, their belongings taken and stab wounds across their body. Any passerby would have known it was a deal gone wrong.

But under the watch of the forest, it was only a scene of the circle of life. One body feeding others. The dark feathers of the carrion crows blocked out the corpse as they enjoyed their meal."

MY LINE UP

SUMMONER

For this battle, I choose Drake of Arnak because it adds 1 armor to its team monsters.

1ST POSITION

Cursed windeku is perfect for its position because of its Thorn ability, it damages back the attacker with mellee attack.

2ND POSITION

Silent Sha-Vi targets the last monster on the enemy team instead of the first monster with its sneak ability.

3RD POSITION

Carrion Shade, the featured card for this battle with 1 mana cost. It will help to absorb hits from the enemy.

4TH POSITION

Cursed slimeball came from untamed edition with no ability from level 1 to level 5. it serves as het absorber like Carrion Shade with just 1 mana cost.

THE RULE SET

"Standard rule with 17 mana cap"

THE BATTLE

Cursed slimeball was knocked down on the first round but the team find a way to have a revenge.

Time to say goodbye to Goblin Thief as Silent Sha-Vi attacked him on round 2.

Round 3 was a victory for Carrion Shade's team.

MY STRATEGY

Since it is a low mana battle, I chose death because I think Cursed Windeku is a great all-purpose tank which could also damage the opposition upon attacking. The second monsters, Silent Sha-Vi is perfect for its position for its sneak ability. The third and fourth monsters in my lineup were low mana melee attack monsters including Carrion Shade and Cursed Slimeball. These low mana monsters in third and fourth positions only act as additional attacks with the tank.

I love to use Carrion Shade specially on battles requiring low mana cap.
This monster has only 1 mana cost with 2 speed and 2 health.

DID MY STRATEGY WORKED?
Yes my strategy worked as I won the battle but I will consider using Thaddius Brood as my summoner nextime because it reduces 1 magic and 1 health to its monster enemies.
