Whilst all the focus of late has been on the new Chaos legion cards, The untamed legendary cards, are quite powerful, and useful to have in your deck for a wide range of niches. One of my favorite Legendary Cards form untamed is the Phantom of the Abyss, this one doesn't seem to get as much attention as Kron, but it is a powerful card.

Below is some matches and uses I have used the Phamntom

In Blast Matches

Blast can be devastating, and the best way to defend against blasts, is either through shields, or a really fast monster that can avoid attack. In this case the Phantom is great at avoiding being hit. A speed 1 monster can't attack it, and even a speed 6 monster has a 50% chance of missing.

The only weakness is that it doesn't have much health and magic will annihilate this monsters quite quickly. A Possible defenses against this are to use Bortus as a summoner to reduce magic power.

Below is a match where I remain unscathed because no one can hit me.

In the back position

Typically sneak monsters are melee, not magic (although there are some), and usually sneak monsters are slow. So using the Phantom in the back position can help protect against a worm attack, or attack from the rear, leaving lower health monsters in the middle only vulnerable to opportunity.

I managed to win a match using this strategy, but instead of the back position it is second back, as I had a Dr Blight which has camouflage, so it can't be attacked by sneak.

Overall the Phantom is a great card, to help you win those matches, especially against teams that attack without magic.
