Splinterlands - Battle Mage Secrets: Fire and Regret!
Hi everyone! I'm a bit late making my Battle Mage Secrets Challenge post for this week! I had some extra work liquidating assets from another Web3 game I used to play: Sunflower Land, I got about $70 from the various NFT's I owned and I bought a really nice card for it, one that kept beating me on a regular basis, so I figured I had to own her:
She looks really cool! 😍
With the rest of the money I'm planning to buy a level 2 Doctor Blight, so I put up a bid buy for that one, hopefully, someone is willing to part with his or her Blight at a little discount and fill my bid 😁
This weeks Battle Mage Secrets Challenge is about the Fire and Regret ruleset, in which all units get the Return Fire ability, basically this means: don't use archers except for martyr cards that are supposed to die, so this ruleset is NOT for my newest addition to my team, Zyriel...
To find out how you can participate in the challenge yourself, you can find the Splinterlands post here.
When you're paying attention and are my regular follower, I always make a thumbnail featuring the monsters I used in the battle I am sharing the post, today I made a slight error, looking at the wrong battle when I made my thumbnail 😅 so it still looks good but it's not even the same splinter haha.
First look at the battlefield:
Well I was wrong in anticipating a Fire team! Hopefully my Riftwing can dodge a few attacks and its backfires can do some damage 🙂
My Line-Up:
- Summoner: Astral Entity - reason: The dodge is really nice now, the resurrect is meant for the martyr of course, hopefully that's the first to die.
- First position: Harklaw - reason: Shield, good HP and decent armor.
- Second position: Venari Marksrat - reason: Martyr to hopefully get resurrected and boost twice.
- Third position: Disintegrator - reason: Demoralize, and a secondary tank.
- Fourth position: Silent Sha-Vi - reason: Great sneaker, fast and good damage.
- Fifth position: Sandworm - reason: High damage sneaker but very slow.
- Sixth position: Riftwing - reason: Sneak protection.
The Battle:
Round 1: Riftwing dodged both attacks and backfired, killing Uraeus, so far my plan works perfectly!
Round 2: My sneak team killed the demoralize, so extra damage for my full team now, this looks good! However, Uriel is a dangerous monster with the healing ability and he hits very hard every other turn!
Round 3: Sandworm was the next to die, while my own team is still complete, even my martyr is still alive! that wasn't supposed to happen!
Round 4: Finally, extra damage, with it, I think my team can kill Uriel even when he heals himself.
Round 5: Kill him!!!
You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
This was still at a low ranking in Modern, so the SPS reward was not very high, still, I'm happy with it, earning a little everyday, onwards to 50K some day!
Well that's it for this week, I hope it's in time to get upvotes 😊 I'll catch you again next week, or maybe we meet on the battlefield, VONAK!
