Diversify Your Earnings With Rentals

If you're like me, you might have a lot of unused cards that you don't know what to do with them. Previously, your only options if you didn't have enough to level them up was to either let them sit in your account, crush them for the DEC value or sell them.

Now, rentals provide another avenue to unlock the value of cards sitting in your account without having to get rid of them. This is great if you think the value of cards are going to increase as they go out of print.

I looked over my collection and put some of the cards that I have duplicate copies on the rental market. Here's a snapshot of the earnings at the moment.

They're at approximately 100 DEC a day. That works out to around 4 battle wins for me. Not too bad, if I do say so myself.

Not all cards are equal

It would be great if all the cheap level 1 common and rare cards get rented out at different rates but that's not really the case. The best performing ones according to the market are the Furious Chicken, Prismatic Energy and Creeping Ooze. There's a steep drop off after them.

Take note

While renting does supplement the earnings a little bit, if you're like me and are pretty close to the start point of a league tier, if you do go a bit too gung-ho with renting out cards, you might find that you can't qualify for you usual max eligible league.

Happy renting!

Card rental market is one of the best things about splinterlands. It makes it much more accessible for players to compound their earnings and improve their rank without having to save up for all the competitive cards they would need at the next level.

Very true. It is very impressive how the rentals have unlocked so much liquidity in the market. Will be interesting how Chaos Legion packs change the rental dynamics.
