High Mana Mayhem: Dominating Modern with Melee & Magic
Greetings,
Happy end of the week to all players in Splinterlands.
I had a fantastic week and tremendous success during my battles, ranking in the Modern format.
As you know, I am fond of selecting Escalation melee warriors and magic fighters in my new setup on the battlefield.
Even though all battles can not favour such a consuming mana point card,s I take great pleasure experimenting when the Mana is above 50
It is time to show you, my friends, how it is done as Modern Format players.

A-/ Careful analysis of the rulesets
It is fundamental to pay attention to the key elements presented in the rulesets for each battle. The game is so diverse in terms of strategy that no one can build an ultimate gameplay for all battles.
The slight non-respect of the ruleset can rapidly backfire and favour the simplest lineup in the game.

I know that the power of these cards below outmatches many Epic and legendary cards in the collection of Conclave arcana. However, the mana restriction and the specific natural disaster created by the earthquake can shift the power from your team to the opponent.
--
B-/ No worry, no rush to build your line
I was a victim of this rush to power when I saw the potential of Doomshield or Forlorn. If you do not place these cards carefully in the arena, you will face rapid destruction.
It is not the only element of surprise to defeat the enemy. The opposition will build a counter-strategy that offers a serious challenge against such impressive warriors from Escalation.
I love to put Akane with a combo of Rage Doomshield and Forlorn. The ambush ability from the dragon summoner will cause ten points of damage right before the battle starts. Of course, the mana required for such combat is above 70 points.

C-/ Escalation Battles Demonstration
I have entered on this day my six battles with the opportunity to test Escalation warriors in four combats.
I planned to change as much as possible my setup to find the right association for a core structure.
--
This first battle showed the magnificent duo of Doomshield and Mantaroth. You can surely see the bonus of shield repair in action.
This setup is perfect when magic warriors are not expected on the battlefield.
The solid role of Doomshield as a tanker supported by Mantaroth is the best association among melee warriors in my selection.

I won this second battle because I was boosting my magic attacks with Lorkus's summoner. I could have lost this battle if the opposition brought more magic warriors into the arena instead of archers.
It was a great learning experience when it came to playing Fire elements without a serious barrier against magic attacks.
--
It was not a cool moment in this game where I fought to win the combat. My adversary brought Akane with a higher level of experience similar set of warriors.
I knew that I was not the best at stopping magic attacks, but the melee addition was not necessary, especially due to thorns.
My second loss of the day was because I was not paying much attention to the distribution of power and healing possibilities after resurrection. The opposition took advantage of the resurrection and boosted his defence with super-rare cards.
It was an intense combat where my team did the best they could against this elite setup.
--
After your own review of these four battles, do you find a different setting that can enhance my win rate?
If you have your own powerful setup with Escalation, can you point me to the right warriors to add to my current battle selection against magic opponents?
Have a great end of the week exploring the wonderful universe of Splinterlands.

Great battle analysis! ⚔️ Doomshield and Mantaroth seem unstoppable. Which setup would you suggest against heavy magic teams?"
Thank you
A dragon line with Rage at the top
Nice job on those wins. Those new Escalation monsters are paying off! Heavy magic and ranged are what you always will see with those thorns in battle 2. Keep up the good work, you are getting stronger and have a great card set!
