Maylor team close loss against shield protected monsters

Peace Dear Splinters,

I have one battle of interest after playing for two hours in the Silver league. The study of this type of match can inspire many players to develop similar strategies against special skill summoners.

The victory in the arena may seem random sometimes considering changes of parameters can affect the outcome even if the lineup is similar.

The ruleset allowed melee attacks from all positions on the battlefield. This type of battle motivates players to select more melee monsters. Therefore an adequate system of defense is shield or armor boosters even thorns. My opponent had a great idea to summon Maylor during this encounter. Although each monster on the enemy side of the board could attack and inflict damage due to thorn's ability, I had covered all my team monsters with enough shield to survive.

My Battle Challenge LINK

My strategy was to inspire all my melee monsters to add one melee to their attack then the armor offered temporary protection against direct and indirect damage coming from the opponent lineup.

I was lucky to survive the thorns damage on my team. I can say that the last round was describing only one monster from each side fighting to the last heart point.

Mother Khala added one point of heart on all my monsters. It played an important part in keeping my strategy operational till the end of the battle.
I was supposed to summon Daria but my favorite dragon summoner is on cooldown. The latest released updates regarding the end of the rental cards' contract and the cooldown duration are in application. I got six days for the cards to be playable in my account.

Playing against this summoner with thorns and using melee monsters is quite difficult to pull off a win, getting more shield is always a good move like you had Truth Speaker give friendly monsters some shield

You are right I love truth speaker. Magic and ranged attacks can be effective too.
Shield up combine with magic strikes is an excellent combo.

That's a great way to counter Maylor, when I'm up against him. I hate his thorns so much especially when I'm using melee monsters.

You are right. I pay very much attention to the player's battle history nowadays.
It helps avoid any unexpected surprises

That's a great strategy, I do that too, just in case.
