Hive Power Up Day & Splinterlands

After a few days of very, very low energy to do anything outside of work, tonight, for some unknown reason, I felt like doing some house cleaning. Well, not really. But it is Hive Power Up Day and it has been since 1/1/23 that I participated. So, I did it today and powered up a few of my Hive. As always my aim was to make it a nice even number of Staked Hive Tokens - Hive Power (HP). Unfortunately, there is that pesky 3rd digit that ruins the even 2300 😂.

Oh well, I thought, hmm, I have collected a few HBD so - why not try again to get to an even number? Is that OCD kicking in here? In any case, this time it worked. I transferred 15.727 HBD to Savings - et voila - I now have an even 100 HBD in there.

On to the next target. In my Splinterlands guild, there was quite a bit of talk about the 5-year-anniversary party / giveaway / raffle / whatever that Splinterlands is celebrating. To participate you have to burn some DEC, the more you burn the higher your chances of winning something.

Honestly, my actual incentive to burn the DEC was that conversion to guild power. I like my guild and like to help them out with a bit of power. So, I burned 30'000 DEC that I got through renting out cards over a few months, and playing when you still got DEC instead of SPS. At the moment this got me to rank 918 - but I am sure there'll be a lot more people burning tons more DEC and I'll drop in rank. But who really cares, right?! Then again, I might burn some more DEC, too, depending on the rental market and there are still 27 days to go.
