Venari Heatsmith is one of the cheapest cards in the game right now. Being one of the modern reward cards, it is being printed rapidly and is currently at a 40% print rate. But is the card any good?

At level one, this card has 3 speed, 2 armour and 2 health, with Void Armour for three mana. Void Armour is an ability, that forces magic attacks to break the armour before damaging the health. This card serves no real purpose at level one, because it is inferior to Antoid Platoon(a card with 1 melee, 1 speed, 2 armour and 3 health with shield).

You could argue, that at level 6 the card has some use, because it unlocks the Amplify ability.
What Amplify increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage, to all enemy monsters by 1. There are not many monsters, in the fire deck, that this will actually help with, unless you want to play something like Almo Cambio or Onyx Sentinel.

By level 10, the card unlocks the Thorns ability, which when combined with Amplify, can be powerful and be able to deal damage without actually having an attack ability. However, not having an attack ability, makes it vulnerable to the Oppress ability(deals double damage against enemies that have no attack ability). This cards main use, is as a tank or secondary tank, but without any abilities to keep it alive, it can easily be countered.

Overall, for three mana the card offers a lot of hit point at higher levels but not enough at lower levels. Thorns with Amplify can deal a lot of damage to attacking melee monsters. Currently, the card is priced at 2.2 cents per BCX.
