What is the best way to earn SPS on Splinterlands ?

I have been doing some more research into increasing my SPS staking rewards on Splinterlands and by the looks of things it looks like Dark Energy Crystals are the way to go.
It’s nice to earn 133 % APR, but even better if you have more SPS to stake …
Do I buy more SPS ? DEC ? SPT ? Plots ? Cards ?
I see that there is already $200,000 a day being spent or traded on the following Splinterlands coins on Hive-Engine.com
And it looks like most people are buying Dark Energy Crystals (DEC)

I don't even know much about splinterland but I know they deal with games. Would be nice to learn other ways of earning their coin, SPS.
I never even played Splinterlands but I’m now earning $10 a day from holding some old cards and Dark Energy Crystals… $300 USD a month !
How did you get hold of those cards? I hardly check my hive engine to see what's going on there.
I bought a bunch of Steemmonsters booster packs with Steem back in 2018... when Steem was around $3 ... I shared a bunch of videos opening the packs at the time.
That's quite cool. Even though steem was high at time, you still bought some steemmonsters. Glad your investment has paid off.
I bought 200 Steemmonsters cards for $100 back in 2018 and forgot about them.

My strategy is to just hold them forever since I am earning so much SPS every day… 130% APr…. But also buying more Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) on Hive-Engine.com since they also pay out so much SPS.
That's great. I just wished I knew how to explore that hive engine. I would love to invest in some promising coins there.

Yep…. I am going to buy up as much DEC as I can and track the increase in SPS.
I think the problem with dec is you have to wait for the drop. This is the big question. Is it better to buy SPS and stake or DEC and collect the droppings?

I will test both to see which gives me the bigger drop… $100 worth SPS or $100 DEC … stay tuned … I need to move some coins around.

I have surely been holding my DEC when I am selling cards. The APR is 230-250% paid in SPS for Holding DEC.

No… I’m just buying DEC, SPS, SPT, plot etc … I’m afraid of losing in the game. I have no idea how to play.
I don’t have a complete set of cards … just a Bunch of random monsters… a few dragons and gold foil cards
Strategically buying cards and then renting them to earn more DEC is the best IMHO. Your cards get counted for airdrop even if they are delegated AFAIK.
