Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Tips for Beginners! (ENG/GER)

Hello dear Splinterlands Beginners,

Perhaps you know the feeling: "You've been playing Splinterlands for a few weeks or months, but somehow it's still not going really well."

If this is also the case for you, I would like to give you a few valuable tips to help you get better at the game.

Own the "right" cards

When I started with Splinterlands, I bought all kinds of cards and packs. However, it was relatively haphazard and mostly based on gut feeling. I have also observed this behavior in friends of mine and in my opinion it is one of the biggest beginner mistakes in Splinterlands.

You should focus very strongly at the beginning. This will save you money and make you more successful.

What do I mean by that?

It makes little sense to have a few cards of each element. You should focus on 2 to a maximum of 3 elements at the beginning and buy a very wide range of cards.

This will force you to use only starter cards in some games, but you will have an optimal deck in many games.

Which elements do I recommend to start with?

As a beginner, your goal should be to reach Bronze 1 every season. In this league you can play cards up to the following maximum level:

• Common Cards Level 3
• Rare Cards Level 2
• Epic Cards Level 2
• Legendary Cards Level 1

You should also only purchase cards from the Chaos Legion Edition via the secondary market. These cards currently offer the best value for money.
You should not buy packs at all at the beginning. The probability that you will get exactly the card you need is far too low.

In my opinion, Death and Water are the strongest elements in the Chaos Legion Edition at the start. If you want to invest the money to add a third element, I recommend neutral cards.

The advantage of neutral cards is that you can add them to the elements you haven't bought and therefore don't need 100% starter cards.

With Water and Death, you don't need to buy the expensive legendary summoners. Kelya Frendul and Thaddius Brood will do just fine.

What role does SPS play?

SPS is the crypto token that you can win through victories. How much SPS you win depends on three things:

1. which league you play in
2. how many Focus and Gold cards you use
3. how much SPS you have as a stake

To be able to win SPS at all, I recommend that you buy a small amount of SPS directly. 500 to 1000 SPS should be enough to get a decent return.

Find a guild and a Discord server

A guild allows you to participate in brawls and win additional SPS and Gladiator cards. It also allows you to exchange ideas with other players and get many more tips.

There are also many Discord servers where you can exchange information about Splinterlands.
You should definitely join these.

First of all, congratulations on reaching Bronze 1. If you have successfully established yourself here, now is the time to expand your deck further. To do this, you should build up one element at a time to use fewer and fewer starter cards and gain more SPS.

vielleicht kennt Ihr das Gefühl: "Ihr spielt Splinterlands zwar schon ein paar Wochen oder Monate aber irgendwie läuft es noch nicht so richtig."

Falls das bei Euch auch zutrifft, möchte ich Euch ein paar wertvolle Tipps mitgeben, um in dem Spiel besser zu werden.

Die "richtigen" Karten besitzen

Als ich mit Splinterlands gestartet habe, kaufte ich alle möglichen Karten und Packs. Allerdings relativ planlos und meist nach Bauchgefühl. Auch bei Freunden von mir habe ich dieses Verhalten beobachtet und meine Meinung nach ist es einer der größten Anfängerfehler in Splinterlands.

Ihr solltet Euch am Anfang sehr stark fokussieren. Dadurch spart Ihr zum einen Geld und zum anderen seid Ihr erfolgreicher.

Was meine ich damit?

Es macht wenig Sinn von jedem Element ein paar Karten zu besitzen. Ihr solltet Euch am Anfang auf 2 bis maximal 3 Elemente fokussieren und dort sehr breit Karten kaufen.

Dadurch seid Ihr zwar in einigen Spielen gezwungen nur auf Starterkarten zurückzugreifen, habt aber in vielen Spielen ein optimales Deck.

Welche Elemente empfehle ich zum Start?

Als Beginner sollte es euer Ziel sein, jede Season Bronze 1 zu erreichen. In dieser Liga könnt Ihr Karten bis zu maximal folgendem Level spielen:

• Common Cards Level 3
• Rare Cards Level 2
• Epic Cards Level 2
• Legendary Cards Level 1

Ebenfalls solltet Ihr nur Karten aus der Chaos Legion Edition über den Zweitmarkt erwerben. Bei diesen Karten habt Ihr aktuell das beste Preisleistungsverhältnis.
Packs solltet Ihr am Anfang überhaupt nicht kaufen. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Ihr genau die Karte erhaltet, die Ihr benötigt, ist viel zu gering.

In der Chaos Legion Edition sind aus meiner Sicht zum Start Death und Water die stärksten Elemente. Falls Ihr das Geld investieren wollt, um ein drittes Element hinzuzunehmen, empfehle ich neutrale Karten.

Die neutralen Karten bringen Euch den Vorteil, dass Ihr diese auch bei den Elementen beimischen könnt, die Ihr nicht gekauft habt und dadurch nicht zu 100 % Starterkarten benötigt.

Bei Water und Death braucht Ihr nicht die teuren legendären Beschwörer kaufen. Kelya Frendul und Thaddius Brood reichen vollkommen aus.

Welche Rolle spielt SPS?

SPS ist der Krypto Token, welchen Ihr durch Siege gewinnen könnt. Wie viel SPS Ihr gewinnt, hängt von drei Dingen ab:

1. In welcher Liga Ihr spielt
2. Wie viele Fokus und Gold Karten ihr einsetzt
3. Wie viel SPS Ihr als Stake besitzt

Damit Ihr überhaupt SPS gewinnen könnt, empfehle ich Euch eine kleine Menge SPS direkt zu kaufen. 500 bis 1000 SPS sollten ausreichen, um einen ordentlichen Ertrag zu erhalten.

Findet eine Gilde und einen Discord Server

Durch eine Gilde könnt Ihr zum einen an Brawls teilnehmen und zusätzliche SPS und Gladiator Karten gewinnen. Zum anderen ermöglicht sie Euch auch sich mit anderen Spielern auszutauschen und viele weitere Tipps zu erhalten.

Ebenfalls gibt es viele Discord Server, auf denen Ihr Euch zu Splinterlands austauschen könnt.
