Splinterlands Weekly Update - Bitcoin Halving Promo Event! (ENG/GER)

Hello dear Splinterlands friends,

Another week has passed and again a lot of things have happened.

The UI of the game has been significantly changed, which has improved the gaming experience on cell phones and tablets in particular,

Furthermore, the Bitcoin Halving is approaching and, as with the last Bitcoin Halving, there are once again promo cards and lots of things to win.

Last but not least, the next Airdrop card was presented and I can already reveal that this card will be really strong.

Changed UI

The changed UI is characterized above all by the fact that the division of the individual functions is now much smarter. In the past, especially on cell phones, some buttons were located outside the screen and were therefore not clickable.

Although these were not the most important things and the game was basically playable, it didn't exactly make the game any more fun. This has now been comprehensively remedied by the new layout and you can find your way around the screen much more quickly.

The only disadvantage is that the new UI really requires a lot of RAM. At over 600 MB, the load is already considerable, perhaps this will be tidied up in the next code reviews and things will certainly be streamlined.

Bitcoin Halving Promo Event!

Let's move on to the most important news: the Bitcoin Halving Promo Event. The event was certainly expected by many and is the first real location determination for Splinterlands since the Rebellion Set Pre-Sale.

This promo event is also a good way of measuring demand within the community.
But let's get to the event itself first.

You could use your DEC or credits to purchase Baron Fyatt or Henchling Enforcer cards. You can also use your vouchers to reduce the declared price by up to 50%.

Both cards are equipped with the powerful "Halving" ability, which halves your opponent's attack and always rounds it down. This turns 3 attacks into an attack of 1.

The Baron's Ambush ability also ensures that it can attack twice in the first round. This has a significant effect on the opponent's power. The Scattershot rounds off the card, as it randomly weakens the opponent's formation.

The Henchling is much cheaper, but with 4 attack and "Halving" it is still a card that provides game control.

The money you spend is not lost, but earns you Bonus Points.

Similar to the last Burnevent, the multiplier decreases with each day. It was and is therefore particularly advisable to take part in the event as early as possible.

For every 10,000 points you receive a chance to win the prizes shown above. This gives you the chance to win other great prizes in addition to the tickets.

So far almost 180,000,000 DEC/Credits have been invested in the event and I think it's already safe to say that this event is a great success and we will soon see some of the promo cards on the field.

Personally, I would love to see us finish well over 200,000,000 at the end of the event. This would be a strong signal from the player community to the game developers.

The next Air Drop card

With Lorkus, the first legendary summoner was introduced and this one has it all. He gives +1 Attack and +1 Magic for every card on the field, plus he combines Fire and Death and gives two more abilities to two units each. This makes him both a tank conqueror and someone who suppresses Heal and at the same time makes your units stronger and stronger.

To get a copy of the card for sure you need 300 chances in the next airdrop. Personally, I will do a lot to secure this card at least 3 times!

Hallo liebe Splinterlands Freunde,

wieder ist eine Woche vergangen und wieder sind sehr viele Dinge passiert.

Zum wurde die UI des Spiels wesentlich verändert, wodurch vor allem das Spielerlebnis auf dem Handy oder Tablett verbessert wurde,

Des Weiteren rückt das Bitcoin Halving näher und wie beim letzten Bitcoin Halving gibt es wieder Promokarten und viele Dinge zu gewinnen.

Zu letzt wurde noch die nächste Airdrop Karte vorgestellt und ich kann jetzt schon verraten, dass diese Karte wirklich stark wird.

Ich bin sehr gespannt was ihr zu den einzelnen Punkten sagt und wünsche Euch viel Spaß beim Lesen!

Veränderte UI

Die veränderte UI zeichnet sich vor allem dadurch aus, dass die Aufteilung der einzelnen Funktionen nun deutlich schlauer angelegt wurde. In der Vergangenheit war es besonders auf dem Handy so, dass einige Button außerhalb des Bildschirms lagen und dadurch nicht klickbar waren.

Zwar hat es sich dabei nicht um die wichtigsten Dinge gehandelt und das Spiel war grundsätzlich spielbar trotzdem hat es den Spielspaß nicht gerade gefördert. Dies wurde durch die neue Aufteilung nun umfassend behoben und man findet sich auf dem Bildschirm deutlich schneller zurechet.

Einziger Nachteil ist, dass das neue UI wirklich viel Arbeitsspeicher benötigt. Mit über 600 MB ist die Belastung schon ordentlich, vielleicht wird hier bei den nächsten Codereviews noch aufgeräumt und bestimmt Dinge verschlankt.

Bitcoin Halving Promo Event!

Kommen wir zur wichtigsten Neuigkeit dem Bitcoin Halving Promo Event. Das Event wurde sicherlich von vielen erwartet und ist seit dem Rebellion Set Pre-Sale die erste wirkliche Standortbestimmt für Splinterlands.

Denn anhand dieses Promo Events lässt sich auch die Nachfrage innerhalb der Community gut messen.
Doch kommen wir erst einmal zu dem Event selber.

Ihr könnte Eure DEC oder Credits dafür einsetzen Baron Fyatt oder Henchling Enforcer Karten zu erwerben. Ebenfalls könnt Ihr eure Voucher dafür verwenden den ausgerufen Preis um bis zu 50 % zu reduzieren.

Beide Karten sind mit der starken "Halving" Fähigkeit ausgestattet, welche den Angriff des Gegners halbiert und zusätzlich immer abrundet. Dadurch wird aus 3 Angriff ein Angriff von 1.

Die Ambush Fähigkeit beim Baron sorgt zusätzlich dafür, dass dieser in der ersten Runde zwei mal angreifen darf. Dadurch lässt sich die Power des Gegners erheblich beeinflussen. Der Scattershot rundet die Karte ab, denn dadurch wird die Aufstellung des Gegners nach dem Zufallsprinzip geschwächt.

Der Henchling ist wesentlich günstiger aber trotzdem mit 4 Angriff und "Halving" eine Karte die für Spielkontrolle sorgen wird.

Das von Euch ausgegebene Geld ist nicht verloren, sondern bringt Euch Bonus Points.

Ähnlich wie beim letzten Burnevent nimmt der Multiplier mit jedem Tag ab. Daher war und ist es besonders empfehlenswert sich möglichst früh an dem Event zu beteiligen.

Die nächste Air Drop Karte

Mit Lorkus wurde der erste legendäre Beschwörer vorgestellt und dieser hat es in sich. Er gibt +1 Angriff und +1 Magie für jede Karte auf dem Spielfeld, zusätzlich kombiniert er Fire und Death und gibt noch jeweils zwei Einheiten zwei weitere Fähigkeiten. Dadurch ist er sowohl ein Tank Bezwinger aber auch jemand der Heal unterdrückt und parallel eure Einheiten immer stärker macht.

Damit Ihr eine Kopie der Karte sicher erhaltet braucht Ihr im nächsten Airdrop 300 Chancen. Persönlich werde ich einiges dafür tun mir diese Karte mindestens 3 mal zu sichern!
