Top 10 Market Cap Around the World | Starts with Gold | Being Caught by Bitcoin

Market Capitalization
One of the important parameters that shows the worth of a company or commodity is its market capitalization. There are numerous textbook definitions for market cap, and those in the crypto space would already understand market capitalization.
Market Cap is the monetary worth of a company (share) or commodity’s (quantity) basic unit multiplied by the total number of units.
It's as simple as that. But what are we getting at? We are referring to the fact that the top market cap of companies or commodities, across the world, belongs to the U.S. and only Gold ranked higher. The news is that Bitcoin is the first and only crypto coin to enter the top market cap race.
Let’s look at it in detail.

The top 10 market capitalization, based on the traditional measure, gets us the following chart.

It starts with Microsoft and the top eight companies belong to the United States. Only Saudi and Taiwan make that list. It is no surprise that the leading economy in the world, USA, dominates the list with companies from its soil.
Now, let’s bring commodities into the equation. Commodities include Gold, Silver, Crypto, et all. The known storage of value for centuries or millennia was Gold followed by Silver. Gold is what kings of the past to the governments of the present fight for, don’t they?
Here’s how the list looks now:

Gold is by far ahead but look at the list now. It has Silver and Bitcoin also. In other words, the digital storage of value has also found its place in the list. And further, note that these three commodities don’t belong to any country.
Closer analysis will tell you, that Bitcoin is the only freely tradeable commodity across borders. Not convinced? Try buying Gold in the U.S. and entering India and you will witness Customs eagerly waiting for you.
Bitcoin is another story and so are most cryptocurrencies. The future leaders of market cap have arrived. How soon will we see them putting everything behind? I don’t know.
