Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Aimless - Modern Diamond Ranked

Hello everyone! This is my second entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with the Aimless rule set!

Aimless is an RNG heavy rule set. Magic and ranged monsters that are not in the first position can attack any position, at random. It also bypasses other abilities like Opportunity and Snipe. It ignores Camouflage. The only way to escape the randomness (on your attacks) is by using melee monsters. There are a few strategies for this rule set. One is playing melee monsters. It's not often that you can play a good team with this in mind but sometimes it is possible. Playing Jacek is another option. It already gives Scattershot to everything, so you get the +2 speed without any drawbacks. Blast gets even better in this rule set. Yodin is simply brutal with this! Since Blast gets better, Reflection Shield is also more important. Taunt only works for melee monsters. It can still be good but it's less likely to do much. Triage can be great too. Finally, one thing I like to do is place a Martyr monster somewhere in the middle and hope 1 or 2 attacks hit it so that it quickly buffs 2 monsters.

Let's take a look at a game with this rule set. I fought an interesting battle in Modern Diamond Ranked: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_a2d29c03a860bab3eac9d1ab2ceb98b1

This game also has the Wands Out and Rise of the Commons rule sets. We both went with Immortalis, which is often the best choice for Wands Out. I'm only using 24 out of the 27 available mana, because of the combination of 2 restrictive rule sets. I knew I wanted Goblin Psychic and Blackmoor Nymph. Those 2 are a great combination with Immortalis for Wands Out because the Nymph can't be afflicted. it's not as effective in Aimless but it's still nice to always get the heal. For the rest of the mana, I couldn't play 3 monsters so the best option was Regal Peryton and something else or Mycelic Slipspawn. I like the first option more, especially because Redemption gives me extra damage. We traded attacks for a while, some of them doing nothing. I put Affliction on their first monster right away, which was great. They killed my Venari Spellsmith, which dealt 1 more damage to their Goblin Psychic. Soon after, their Goblin was gone and the game was locked for me. I certainly could have lost due to bad RNG but I think my team was better.
