Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Armored Up - Modern Gold Tournament

Hello everyone! This is my first entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with the Armored Up rule set!

Armored Up is a rule set that grants +2 armor to every monster. It's pretty simple, and doesn't restrict anything, but it changes the game. There are 2 main strategies for this rule set: make use of the armor or fight the enemy armor. You can make use of the armor with Repair, Void Armor, and Armored Strike. You can fight it by making it worse or even ignoring it. Magic is a great way to ignore armor (unless they have Void Armor) but Piercing also makes armor way less effective. Rust and Shatter fight the armor directly and there's also the new Corrosive Ward. Immortalis is especially good against armor.

Let's take a look at a game with this rule set. I found an interesting battle in a Modern Gold Tournament: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sm_49qdqzXVoq8ymKidIvDx

This game also has the Lost Magic and the Rise of the Commons rule sets. The top player went with Kelya and several good monsters. However, there's not much synergy on this team. 1 tank, 1 sneak, 1 opportunity, 1 healer, and 2 archers. The bottom player went with Waka Spiritblade and some more synergy. Curse Windeku on the front was a great choice, Waka with the poison is a nice way to bypass the armor, Ravenhood Warden for more armor and Wailing Wraith to abuse all that armor and reduce the opponent's armor. The top player was able to stick poison on the Ever-Hungry Skull, which was much needed. The bottom player also missed the Armored Strike on a 10% miss chance, but still killed the Cruel Sethropod with Poison. Next round, things started falling apart for the top player. They lost Deeplurker and even with another miss, they were losing a lot of firepower. On the third round, everything was over since they didn't miss the attack on Pelacor Bandit and all that was left were 2 archers.
