Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Silenced Summoners 1 - Modern Diamond Ranked

Hello everyone! This is my first entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with the Silenced Summoners rule set!

Silenced Summoners is a very simple rule set. It makes every summoner lose all their abilities. The strategies for this are not very complex. The most basic one is: the less mana the summoners cost, the better. That's why the old 2 mana summoners like Xander Foxwood have always been good options for the rule set. Dragon summoners are also generally better than other summoners because they allow you to pick more cards. Rebellion introduced dual element summoners. The common ones only cost 3 mana, which is very cheap and the cheapest option in Modern, making them the best option for this rule set, fairly often. The most unknown strategy for this rule set is one that applies only when the limit is bronze or gold level cards. It's not relevant for ranked play anymore but it's relevant for tournaments and Brawls. Epic summoners at bronze and gold level, allow the player to use rares at 1 level higher than the supposed limit of the league. It's a somewhat weird interaction but it's one worth taking advantage of. It can be used in any rule set but it's where it's easier to use.

Let's take a look at a game with this rule set. I fought an interesting battle in Modern Diamond: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_5a7b1767c9015dfaa34445da78a707aa

This game also has the Are You Not Entertained? rule set. We both went with 4 mana Dragon summoners. I used an Epic one but it doesn't matter at max level. I placed Grimbardun Smith in front, followed by Thane Newsong. Next, I placed my 2 main attackers: Katrelba Gobson and Venka the Vile. For the last 2, I went with Chaos Agent and Mycelic Slipspawn. They opted for Djinn Chwala in front, followed by Corsair Bosun. After that, they chose Time Mage, Naga Assassin, Supply Runner, and Venari Crystalsmith.

They attacked my Splispawn several times and reduced it to 5 HP. Venka attacked Chwala and Katrelba killed Crystalsmith. In round 2, they finished my Mycelic Slipspawn but Venka killed Chwala and dealt a big hit on Corsair. Katrelba missed one attack on Supply Runner, so it left it at 1 HP. In the next one, Venka killed Corsair and Time Mage with Trample. Katrelba didn't miss, this time, and killed both remaining monsters.
