Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Having fun with a Lorkus mirror

Hello everyone! This is my first entry for this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. Today, I'm sharing a battle of mine in Modern Diamond Ranked.

I fought an interesting battle in Modern Diamond ranked. In this game, both players used Lorkus as their summoner. This is one of the most fun summoners to use because of the interactions it provides, especially with magic attackers, and it can be pretty cool. Lorkus is a 7 mana legendary summoner from the Rebellion set. It's a dual splinter summoner for Death and Fire. It was the first airdrop legendary summoner of Rebellion. The art is pretty cool with the gadget and the cards. The colors work very well with the half purple, half red background.

As for the stats and abilities, it buffs melee and magic attacks for your whole team. It also has 2 different Tactics. The first one gives Life Leech and Affliction to 2 different targets. It's the one I use the most. The second gives Trample and Fury to 2 different targets. It's very rare that I pick this one, but it is important to remember that the option exists.

This game had the following rule sets: Odd Ones Out, Fire & Regret, and Tis but Scratches. The mana cap was just 45, with only Fire and Death available. Like I said before, we both picked Lorkus as our summoner. I put Mantaroth in front, followed by Djinn Muirat. I followed them up with Spirit Hoarder, Venari Marksrat, and Venka the Vile. I finished the team with Arachne Weaver. They also put Mantaroth in front, but their second one was the Marksrat. They followed it up with Emberguard and 2 ranged units: Meriput Slinger and Delya. They finished with Halfling Refugee. I gave the Life Leech and Affliction to my two back units. They opted for the same tactics on Mantaroth and Delya.

Round 1

They had the speed advantage, and Delya hit very hard. When their Mantaroth attacked, it was enough to finish my own. However, Djinn Muirat's Giant Killer was enough to take out their tank. Arachne Weaver Poisoned their Marksrat, and it died to it.

Round 2

After all their units had attacked, they managed to eliminate Muirat before it attacked. However, my team also dealt with Emberguard, with Venka doing the most damage.

Rounds 3

Their Meriput went to the front, which meant only Delya could attack. It killed Spirit Hoarder and Marksrat. After this, Venka finished Meriput and dealt a lot of damage to Delya. They couldn't attack anymore, and that sealed the game in my favor.

Rounds 4 and 5

Venka missed one attack, which didn't matter, but it just meant the game ended in round 5 instead of 4.

Their team was faster, and Delya was amazing in this game. The problem is that I still managed to keep up with them in terms of kills. Since their Halfling in the back was not doing anything and they had 2 ranged units, at a certain point, their team had 2 useless units. That was the key to my win. I don't know if I could have won if they had put the Halfling in the second or third position.
