Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - In A Astral Entity Mirror Speed Is King

Hello everyone! This is my second entry for this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. Today I'm sharing a battle of mine in Ranked Modern Diamond.

I have had a level 3 Astral Entity for a long time but since I play in Diamond and Champion, I never end up using it. I had 1 extra copy and, as I was checking the market, I saw a 4 BCX for sale that was a bit cheaper. I took the chance and finally maxed out this summoner.

This game has the following rule set: Lost Magic. With this rule set, relatively high mana available, and only Earth and Death as Splinter options, Astral Entity looks like a great summoner with every ability being relevant. Immortalis could be good too with the Shatter but I want to try out Astral Entity and this seemed the perfect chance. I started with Mantaroth. Shield and Repair in a Lost Magic game is great, Queen of Crows for speed control and to reduce the power of the enemy's ranged monsters, Silent Sha-vi with Sneak can be useful, Ravenhood Warden for the armor, and 2 more speed controllers: Supply Runner and Lira the Dark. They also went with Astral Entity and had almost the same team. Their Ravenwood Warden is only at level 6 and they have different positioning because they played Arachne Thug, with Reach, instead of Supply Runner.

Since I have more speed, my Lira is the first one to attack and it kills their under-leveled Warden, making the Resurrect somewhat of a waste. Mine survived and we both hit and miss a few attacks. In round 2, the speed difference plus the weaker Warden gave me a huge advantage. Lira killed their Warden for the second time and my Silent Sha-vi killed their Lira before she could attack. They were now 2 monsters down. Their Sha-vi also killed my Lira but it got Resurrected. There were a few more attacks missed on both sides but I was building up an advantage. My Mantaroth was also hitting for more damage because my Warden was alive. I killed all their monsters except for Queen of Crows. My Lira died to the Return Fire but it didn't matter because the game was over.
