Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Inevitable? I don't think so!

Hello everyone! This is my first entry for this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. Today I'm sharing a battle of mine in Modern Diamond Ranked

I fought an interesting battle where my opponent played Inevitable. But is it really Inevitable?

This game has the following rule sets: Aim True. I opted for Possibilus the Wise with Arkemis the Bear and Mantaroth as the first 2 monsters, already a classic combination ever since Rebellion came out. I played Angelic Mandarin and Wave Brood in the back, to try to take the damage away from my 2 main guys. I also had Deeplurker because it's a great card and it nerfs melee damage. With 1 mana left, I opted for the Fiend because it nerfs ranged monsters. They opted for Avina of the Wolf and Inevitable, making it very hard to kill. Iziar in the second position to take the attacks and buff Inevitable, Djinn Renova for the Triage, Adelade for the Repair and Resurrect, Doctor Blight because it's a great card and they used the last 2 mana with Dax Paragon.

They didn't do much damage to my Wave Brood because it has Void and the Silence makes most of their attackers very weak. Unfortunately, they stuck Poison and Affliction. I was dealing much more damage and I was able to kill Iziar for the first time with Poison. They healed Iziar with 2 Triage but I was able to kill it on round 2. Inevitable got very scary with 4 attack. Next round, some damage happened, but nothing died, although my Wave Brood was very close. Round 4 was when things started looking good for me. I was able to kill Adelade with Deeplurker and deal some damage to other monsters. The next one, Deeplurker killed Dax and Poisoned Doctor Blight, however, my Arkemis also got Poisoned. I killed everything else on round 6 and it was only Inevitable left, although it was buffed twice and had Heal on top of the Repair. I could deal more damage per round than it could Heal but Arkemis would soon die to Poison. I won in round 9 when Arkemis had just 1 health!
