Lucky #7 Airdrop!
I got my first card via a Splinterlands airdrop and boy was it a nice one! A Gold Foil, Legendary, Spirit Hoarder.
I realize for a guy that only purchased 20 Chaos Legion packs in total the odds that I would be getting any airdroped card at all were quite low . To get a Gold Foil Legendary was a genuine surprise. :)
Even though I have been steem/Hiving for almost 4 years now, I only got involved in Splinterlands a few months before the release of Chaos Legion packs. After playing the game for a bit I decided my involvement in the game would be more as a collector and renter of cards so I bought myself some cards from the market.
I now have about a hundred cards I rent daily. The addition of the Spirit Hoarder more than doubled the DEC I usually get for a day, lol. Being the end of the season though, I will have to wait and see what a more normal daily rental price might be for this card.
Over all I feel like my investment in Splinterlands, though somewhat late, was a good decision. I will just keep building my deck and see where the market goes. Plus I enjoy taking part in the rental market and watching the crazy spikes at the end of each season. With 7 airdrops still to go though, I can't help but feel I might have already peaked in what I will recieve but I guess you never know. :)

Wow!!! Congrats! I was also blessed with a GF legendary I bought 10 packs got the 0 mana card. Nice stuff man.

Congratulations on the card! The odds have been gracious with you. I would keep it, as the price will probably 5x when the packs have been sold out.
