Upgrading my Water Starter Deck with Chaos Legion

Hello there
I´m currently at Bronze II and have started playing Splinterlands a couple of weeks ago.
By only buying 3 cards I was able to climb to a Rating of over 1000 shortly after I started playing this game.
Those cards were Kelp Initiate, Venari Wavesmith and Djinn Oshannus. They worked pretty well in Combination with Alric, Medusa, Ice Pixie, Elven Mystic and Enchanted Pixie. I spent 52$ on those 3 cards which are now worth 18.09$ and are also less effective since Alric isn´t available anymore unless you pay 189.99$ for it or rent it for 0.1698$ per Day. However I´m confident that prices will go up again in the long run since most cards dropped in value recently, because of lower SPS and DEC prizes.

When the Chaos Legion Cards appeared Alric was replaced with Kelya Frendul who´s a great summoner as well. Sadly he wasn´t buffing all my magic cards like Alric used to do. But he´s a better support if you want to play a good mixture of melee, ranged and magic attackers as well as healers since he´s providing a speed and shield buff for all of them.
The big Advantage of using different card types is that it won´t be that easy to get countered. I always had trouble when the opponent used void creatures against my magic attackers.
Finally I want to talk about the new cards I´m using now.
Instead of Kelp Initiate I´m going for Diemonshark as Tank in the first spot which is free to use. It´s quite solid even at level 1 with 7 health and 6 shields. With the great abilities and stats at higher levels he´s even more impressive.

But without any defence (like void) or healing abilities it won´t last that long in the first position.
Fortunately there´s a great healer in Chaos Legion which is also free to use. Merdaali Guardian can restore health and also armor at lvl 5. At max Level it can increase the Health of all your Monsters.

The Problem is that the healer is killed easily by Creatures with the snipe ability. That´s why having a monster with Taunt on your team is very helpful. Buying Wave Brood at the current price of 3.18$ looks like a no brainer to me (Unless you want to wait till January where prizes of chaos legion cards might drop further). This creature seems to be the perfect choice for a second Tank since it has tons of health and can still attack with the Close Range ability when the first Tank dies and Wave Brood moves into the first position. Void and Return Fire are also amazing abilities which will unlock at higher levels.

Those 3 creatures are supporting each other very well. The synergy even increases at higher levels.
If you plan on maxing them out, you would want to consider adding River Nymph to the team since Amplify and Return Fire work well together.
The next cards I would want to add would be Igor because of his Stun ability and Angelic Mandarin because he can heal Wave Brood in the back position at level 4.
Having Merdaali Guardian taking care of Diemonshark who would recieve melee damage from creatures without abilities like sneak and Angelic Mandarin healing Wave Brood who draws the rest of the damage towards him with taunt seems like a nice combo.
They also work well with Venari Wavesmith and Djinn Oshannus (in case the mana cap is high enough to toss them in).

I plan on buying all those cards as gold foils since I´ll probably use them very often and want that extra DEC after each battle.
I also want to use them at a decent level. That´s why I plan on buying Kelya Frendal 7 times, Wave Brood 4 times, Merdaali Guardian 7 times and Diemonshark 4 times. This would cost me 743.89$ at current prizes. I´ll wait until January to buy them since they will probably be much cheaper at that time. In the meantime I can use this combo at lvl 1 for only 3.18$.

For those of you who don´t want gold cards, it would only be 315.75$ to have Kelya at lvl5, Wave Brood at lvl4, Merdaali Guardian at lvl5 and Diemonshark at lvl4
I didn´t include the 2 new legendaries because they aren´t good enough for how much they cost in my opinion.
