Man I don't know how Riot/Fortiche took a boring Harley Quinn knock off and created such a rich, interesting, deeply interesting version of that. Jinx is like polar opposites with her old version. She's insane but like, in a darker, more sad/miserable way.

Also man, I love how every single bad thing that happens in Arcane are the direct results of human error. Silco and Vander fallout due to Jinx/Vi's mom dying. Vander never sending the letter apologizing to make amends. Singed doing whatever it takes to save his daughter. Viktor genuinely wanting to help people and accidentally arriving at the wrong solution. Ambessa trying to save her family and avenge her son.

Everything is a direct fallout of other characters' mistakes. There was no greater villain really. No Void stuff like people theorized. No greater villain behind Viktor. Just genuine human mistakes. Vi yelling at Powder as well. It's all just a sad, tragic series of bad choices. And it all ties in directly with Viktor's entire dilemma. He wants to save everyone but humans are inherently flawed and bad stuff happens because of it.

Man, it's crazy we managed to get a better, even more interesting version of Ekko's backstory that was also even more tragic. Riot and Fortiche really outdid themselves. Ekko already had a fantastic backstory and short story, and they took that and expanded on it and made it even more tragic. Ekko having to give up the dream world he was stuck in just to go back to the hell his timeline was to save the day is deeply tragic and it completely fits the theme of the character.
