Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all super well and if you're not, you will be soon! Friends you don't know how much I love to make this #fanart the truth. From the first moment I saw this card reviewing the cards of the game, I really liked it, you know I love everything about dark art or drawing styles that have a dark tinge and this Queen of Crows card gave me that vibe, so it was the one chosen to participate in the @Splinterlands art contest this week.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Amigos ustedes no saben lo que ame hacer este #fanart la verdad. Desde el primer momento que vi esta carta revisando las cartas del juego, me gusto mucho, ya saben que me encanta todo lo referente al arte oscuro o estilos de dibujos que tengan un tinte oscuro y esta carta de Queen of Crows me daba esa vibra, así que fue la escogida para participar en el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands de esta semana.

To start what would become my version of the character, I began to make the sketch, taking into account elements of the original illustration and adapting them to my drawing and my style. I was looking at references of witch hats on Pinterest, because the truth is that I had no idea how to make one. I added as best I could the elements that can be found in the original illustration to my drawing, but I also wanted to add something that wasn't in the original, the spider, because I feel it would suit the character and the composition in general.

Para darle inicio a lo que vendría siendo mi versión del personaje, comencé a hacer el boceto, tomando en cuenta elementos de la ilustración original y adaptándolos a mi dibujo y a mi estilo. Estuve viendo referencias de sombreros de brujas en Pinterest, porque la verdad que no tenia ni idea de como hacer uno. Agregue lo mejor que pude los elementos que podemos encontrar en la ilustración original a mi dibujo, pero también quise agregar algo que no estaba en la original, la araña, ya que siento que le vendría super bien al personaje y a la composición en general.

After having been doing the sketch for a very long time, I let it rest until the next day when I resumed it again, since I did the sketch in the afternoon and the color work I started to do the next morning. I was checking that everything in the sketch was ok before starting to paint it and if there were things that I changed and fixed. Talking about the color work in the drawing, I took as inspiration and reference the color palette of the original character, as usual, I only changed some shades in it and adapted them to my drawing style. Besides that, I was also playing a lot with what is the chromatic circle, in order to make use of colors that made a good combination between them and so that there was also harmony in general.

Luego de haber estado haciendo el boceto por un muy buen rato, lo deje descansar hasta el día siguiente que lo volví a retomar, puesto a que el boceto lo hice en la tarde y el trabajo de color lo comencé a hacer la mañana siguiente. Estuve viendo que todo en el boceto estuviese bien antes de comenzar a pintarlo y si hubieron cosas que cambie y arregle. Hablando del trabajo de color en el dibujo, tomé como inspiración y referencia la paleta de color del personaje original, como es de costumbre, solamente cambia algunas tonalidades en la misma y las adapte a mi estilo de dibujo. A parte de eso, también estuve jugando mucho con lo que es el circulo cromático, para así hacer uso de colores que hicieran una buena combinatorio entre ellos y para que también hubiera armonía en general.

I love how I'm doing the color work on the face lately, those red tones on the eyelids and cheeks that look so good, I just love it. To get to have more vivid and bright colors, I make use of wood colors, you know that I mostly paint my drawings with watercolors, but watercolors tend to leave a bit pale finish in terms of color, so I work with wood colors to enhance it in the drawing.

Amo demasiado como estoy haciendo últimamente el trabajo de color en el rostro, esas tonalidades rojas en los parpados y cachetes que se ven tan bien, simplemente lo amo. Para llegar a tener colores mas vivos y brillantes, hago uso de colores de madera, ustedes saben que mayormente mis dibujos los pinto con acuarelas, pero las acuarelas tienden a dejar un acabado un poco pálido en cuanto al color, así que trabajo con colores de madera para realzar el mismo en el dibujo.

To finish with the drawing, the last thing I did was to work the line art in the drawing, doing it in areas that I usually always do and then I'm going to add the glows in white, which are one of my favorite things when drawing and painting. This is one of my favorite drawings so far, I love it so much and I hope you do too.

Para finalizar con el dibujo, lo ultimo que hice fue trabajar el line art en el dibujo, haciéndolo en zonas que por lo general siempre lo hago y luego me voy a agregar los brillos en blanco, que son unas de mis cosas favoritas a la hora de dibujar y pintar.
