Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all super well and if you're not, you will be soon! Once again I come to participate in the art contest for @Splinterlands. This time I chose the Pyre card, it's a character that I personally like a lot, I think he is one of the few characters of the game that I always remember and the truth is that I wanted to draw him in my style and see my version of it. More than anything I took it as inspiration, since I changed a lot the color palette and used one that I personally would use, I hope you join me to see the process of this illustration.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Nuevamente vengo a participar en el concurso de arte para @Splinterlands. Este vez escogí la carta de Pyre, es un personaje que a mi en la personal me llama mucho la atención, creo que es de los pocos personajes del juego que siempre recuerdo y la verdad que quise dibujarlo a mi estilo y ver mi versión del mismo. Mas que todo lo tome como inspiración, ya que le cambie mucho la paleta de color y use una que yo en lo personal usaría, espero me acompañen a ver el proceso de esta ilustración.

I started making the sketch in a layer and to make the illustration I made use of Krita, since it is the drawing program that best suits my tastes and needs. Drawing a couple of minutes, I had a first sketch of the character and I must tell you that this time I wanted to integrate horns to the drawing, because I found it convincing and the truth is that they looked good. In another layer, I start to clean up the sketch, so I have a completely clean and defined one.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en un capa y para hacer la ilustración hice uso de Krita, ya que es el programa de dibujo que mas se adapto a mis gustos y necesidades. Dibujando un par de minutos, tuve un primer boceto del personaje y debo decirles que esta vez quise integrar cuernos al dibujo, ya que me pareció convincente y la verdad que le quedaron bien. En otro capa, comienzo a limpiar el boceto, para así quedarme con uno completamente limpio y definido.

Then I continue to work in another layer the base color of the character, which is mostly the skin of the character, which I use a yellow tone, a light mustard tone, I don't even know what color it is hahaha. Then in another layer I'm doing the color work of the eyes, nose, mouth and other areas of the drawing, all divided by layers, so that it is easier to work color throughout the character. I keep working and adding shadow details in the illustration, I must say that I need to practice a little more how to paint and add the shadows in digital, because I struggled a little with that, but little by little we are progressing.

Luego prosigo a trabajar en otra capa el color base del personaje, que mas que todo es la piel del mismo, el cual use un tono amarillo tirando a mostaza claro, yo ni se que color es jajaja. Después en otra capa voy haciendo el trabajo de color de los ojos, nariz, boca y demás zonas del dibujo, todo dividido por capas, para que así sea más fácil el trabajo de color en todo el personaje. Sigo trabajando y agregando detalles de sombra en la ilustración, que debo decir que necesito practicar un poco mas el como pintar y agregar las sombras en digital, ya que si batalle un poco con eso, pero poco a poco vamos progresando.

After working the color in the face and other areas of the drawing, I proceed to begin to paint the hair, for this I took a break of one day to continue working on the illustration, as it is always necessary to take breaks while drawing, so when you return to resume the same, you see certain details that you do not like and you can change them. I was watching videos on the internet of how to draw hair in digital and I must say that they were very helpful, because the hair was beautiful, according to me.

Luego de estar trabajando el color en el rostro y demás zonas del dibujo, prosigo a comenzar a pintar el cabello, que para esto me tome un descanso de un día para seguir trabajando en la ilustración, ya que siempre es necesario tomarse descansos mientras dibujas, para así cuando vuelvas a retomar el mismo, veas ciertos detalles que no te gustan y los puedas cambiar. Estuve viendo vídeos en internet de como dibujar cabello en digital y debo decir que fueron de mucha ayuda, ya que el cabello me quedo hermoso, según yo.

Finally I was working on the horns on his arms, as well as on the original character. Also, I added more details that according to me, he was missing and to finish with all the illustration, I made the details in white, which is something that I personally love too much of my drawing style. I added the signature and made a background to play with the color palette of the drawing and that was it, that would be all. The truth is that I didn't want to use the color palette of the original character, since it's not my personal style to use those colors, but I hope I did justice to this character in my style, I loved this illustration.

Por ultimo estuve trabajando en los cuernos que tiene en los brazos, así como en el personaje original. Ademas, agregue más detalles que según yo, le faltaba y para finalizar con toda la ilustración, hice los detalles en blanco, que es algo que a mi en lo personal amo demasiado de mi estilo de dibujo. Agregue la firma e hice un fondo que le hiciese juegue con la paleta de color del dibujo y listo, eso seria todo. La verdad no quise hacer uso de la paleta de color del personaje original, ya que no es para nada mi estilo personal usar esos colores, pero espero haberle hecho justicia a este personaje en mi estilo, a mi me encanto esta ilustración.
