Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all super well and if you're not, you will be soon! As usual, I participate again in the @Splinterlands art contest and this time with a fanart of the card Naga Assassin. Character that I saw and without a doubt I had to draw it in my style, which as you all know is based on making portraits, since that's what I love to draw.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Como es de costumbre, vuelvo a participar en el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands y esta vez con un fanart de la carta Naga Assassin. Personaje que vi y sin duda tenia que dibujarlo a mi estilo, que como todos saben se basa en hacer retratos, ya que es lo que me encanta dibujar.

Summarizing a little what I did in this drawing, I was using new brushes based on chalk and ink, which really helped me a lot to detail and work this illustration, which I loved too much the color finishes in it, no doubt the best thing I did in this drawing was to use new brushes.

Resumiendo un poco lo que hice en este dibujo, estuve usando nuevos pinceles a base de tiza y tinta, que la verdad me sirvieron muchísimo para detallar y trabajar esta ilustración, la cual ame demasiado los acabados de color en la misma, sin duda lo mejor que hice en este dibujo fue usar nuevos pinceles.

I started making the sketch taking into account the pose of an image I found on Pinterest, which I really liked and I thought it was suitable for this illustration. At first I was just structuring a little bit the sketch, and then I went to add a new layer and clean everything and define more what would become the character. I wanted to do a more defined line art work this time and thus know more precisely where the shadows and lights would go throughout the character.

Comencé haciendo el boceto tomando un cuenta la pose de una imagen que encontré en Pinterest, que realmente me gusto y creí conveniente para esta ilustración. De principio solo estuve estructurando un poco el boceto, para luego irme a agregar una nueva capa y limpiar todo y definir mas lo que vendría siendo el personaje. Quise hacer un trabajo de line art mas definido en esta ocasión y así saber con más precisión en donde irían las sombras y luces en todo el personaje.

Then I went on to do the color work and I took as a reference the color palette of the original character to guide me in a more precise way in the tones of the character. I started doing as usual the eyes, then I went to do the mouth, the nose and finally I did a couple of shadows. If you saw my last color drawing, you will know that I was practicing a little to make shadows in digital, so I wanted to integrate what I learned with this illustration and the truth is that the result I got I liked it a lot.

Luego pase a hacer el trabajo de color y tome como referencia la paleta de color del personaje original para guiarme de una manera mas precisa en los tonos del mismo. Comencé haciendo como es de costumbre en mí los ojos, luego me fui a hacer la boca, la nariz y por ultimo hice un par de sombras. Si vieron mi ultimo dibujo a color, sabrán que estuve practicando un poco el hacer sombras en digital, así que lo que aprendí lo quise integrar con esta ilustración y la verdad que el resultado que obtuve me gusto y mucho.

I made the shadows according to the base color where they would go, that is to say; if I had to add some shadows on the neck, where a more pronounced shadow was supposed to go, I made it in the base color of the skin, which is in a light ocher tone, but I took it to the dark, making the shadows contrast with the skin and not lose the colors of it. So I was working all the shadows and a couple of details throughout the illustration. To make the shadows I made use of a chalk brush that is available in the program I use to draw and has become one of my favorites.

Las sombras las hice de acuerdo al color base en donde irían, es decir; si tenia que agregar alguna sombras en el cuello, donde se supone que debería ir una sombras más pronunciada, la hacia del color base de la piel, que es en un tono ocre claro, pero lo llevaba a lo oscuro, haciendo que dicha sombras contrastara con la piel y no se perdieran los colores de la misma. Así estuve trabajando todas las sombras y un par de detalles en toda la ilustración. Para hacer las sombras hice uso de un pincel de tiza que esta disponible en el programa que uso para dibujar y se ha vuelto uno de mis favoritos.

Then I went to make details on the face like adding intense red on the cheekbones and certain areas of the character, at the same time I was doing the line art, which I did with color and other things. I finished the illustration with the color work on the hair, this time I didn't want to detail it too much, because I feel it wasn't a priority, since the focus I wanted to give to the character was the skin and the face, so according to me, there was no need to make a super detailed hair. Finally I added some details in white, which is something I love to do to my drawings, I feel it gives a beautiful touch to it.

Luego me fui a hacer detalles en la cara como agregar rojo intenso en los pómulos y ciertas zonas del personaje, a su vez iba haciendo el line art, que para ello lo hacia de color y demás cosas. Termine la ilustración con el trabajo de color en el cabello, que esta vez no quise detallar mucho el mismo, porque siento que no era prioritario, ya que el enfoque que quería darle al personaje era la piel y el rostro, así que según yo, no había la necesidad de hacer un cabello super detallado. Por ultimo agregue algunos detalles en blanco, que es algo que amo hacerle a mis dibujos, siento que le da un toque hermoso al mismo.
