Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I've been working for a few days to get this illustration ready, as I wanted to make something that looked good. I've been consuming a lot of videos about drawing and digital illustration, to keep getting into this world and learn new things. Everything I've learned in this short time, I've implemented it in this fanart of Naga Fire Wizard for the @Splinterlands art contest. You will say again with the same thing, but I really see more and more improvement in my digital drawings and it's all because of the great amount of practice I've been doing all this time. The fanart of SPT have helped me a lot as practice, so I appreciate that every week I participate in the contest, I hope this week I win a place hehehe.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Estuve trabajando unos cuantos días para tener lista esta ilustración, ya que quería hacer algo que quedara bien. He estado consumiendo muchos vídeos sobre dibujo e ilustración digital, para seguir adentrándome en este mundo y aprender nuevas cosas. Todo lo que he aprendido en este corto tiempo, lo he implementado en este fanart de Naga Fire Wizard para el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands. Ustedes dirán otra vez con lo mismo, pero es que de verdad cada vez veo mucha mas mejoría en mis dibujos digitales y todo es por la gran cantidad de practica a la que me he sometido todo este tiempo. Los fanart de SPT me han ayudado mucho como practica, así que agradezco que cada semana participe en el concurso, espero este semana ganar un puesto jejeje.

I started doing the sketch very sloppy, irregular strokes with bad proportions, it's just to structure what would become the character itself. Then I added a new layer and it is in this one where I clean the whole sketch very well, making a detailed line art work that allows me to visualize the drawing much better. I needed a hand, since I love to make and integrate hands to my portraits, but this time I discarded it because I felt it was not really necessary to have one.

Comencé haciendo el boceto muy descuidado, trazos irregulares con proporciones mal hechas, es solo para estructurar lo que vendría siendo el personaje en sí. Luego paso a agregar una nueva capa y es en está donde limpio super bien todo el boceto, haciendo un trabajo de line art bien detallado y que me permita visualizar el dibujo mucho mejor. Me hizo falta una mano, ya que amo hacer e integrar manos a mis retratos, pero esta vez lo descarte porque sentí que realmente no era necesario que tuviese una.

Once all the sketch is done and with a clean line art, I start to do the color work in the whole drawing. For this I take as usual, the color palette of the original character. I must be honest, I didn't like this color palette at all, I was about to change it completely, since they are not colors that I use in a drawing, that combination of colors is not really what I'm used to work with. But I'm trying new things, exploring and acquiring knowledge from everywhere and I said; why not? And I worked with that color palette as I could.

Una vez hecho todo el boceto y con un line art limpio, paso a hacer el trabajo de color en todo el dibujo. Para ello tomo como es de costumbre, la paleta de color del personaje original. Les debo ser sincero, esta paleta de color no me gustaba para nada, ni en lo mas mínimo, estuve a punto de cambiarla por completo, ya que no son colores que yo use en un dibujo, esa combinación de colores realmente no es a lo que acostumbro trabajar. Pero ando probando cosas nuevas, explorando y adquiriendo conocimientos de todos lados y dije; por que no? Y trabaje con esa paleta de color a como pude.

I made use of Clip Studio Paint for all this work and used watercolor brushes, blenders and airbrushes throughout. I started by applying a base color for each area of the drawing, that is; skin, hair, accessories and clothing. After that, I start detailing each of them, starting as usual with the face, until the last part which was the hair and clothes. I am enjoying so much the combination of brushes that I am doing lately, since I am a fan of using watercolor brushes, but a recommendation that one of my favorite artists gave and that I have her as inspiration and reference, is that she says not to marry only with a brush or technique, since using diverse materials and tools, you will get better results and how right she was, since this drawing I can the result and improvement that I had applying that recommendation.

Hice uso de Clip Studio Paint para todo este trabajo y use pinceles de acuarela, mezcladores y aerógrafos en su totalidad. Comencé aplicando un color base para cada zona del dibujo, es decir; piel, cabello, accesorios y ropa. Luego de eso, comienzo a detallar cada una de ellas, comenzando como es de costumbre por la cara, hasta llegar a lo ultimo que fue el cabello y la ropa. Estoy disfrutando tanto la combinación de pinceles que estoy haciendo últimamente, ya que soy fanático de usar pinceles de acuarela, pero una recomendación que dio una de mis artistas favoritas y que la tengo como inspiración y referente, es que dice que no se casen solo con un pincel o técnica, ya que usando diversos materiales y herramientas, conseguirán mejores resultados y cuanta razón tenia, ya que este dibujo puedo el resultado y mejoría que tuve aplicando esa recomendación.

Finally and to finish this beautiful illustration, I only did the final details like the shines and some shadows. Besides making a simple background to it, as you know that my forte has never been backgrounds, but I tried to make one that was more in line with the color palette of the character and that would have harmonized in general.

Por ultimo y para darle fin a esta hermosa ilustración, solo le hice los detalles finales como los brillos y algunas sombras. Ademas de hacerle un fondo sencillo al mismo, ya que ustedes saben que mi fuerte nunca han sido los fondos, pero trate de hacer uno que fuera mas acorde con la paleta de color del personaje y que hubiera armoniza en general.
