Along the Pembrook, a babbling creek that wends its way through the heart of the Maywaren Forest, there lives a creature so beautiful that a single look can drive one mad with desire.

Long hair. Full lips. Perfect skin. She is queen of the river nymphs and a guardian of the ley lines and boundary between the Fey Plane and the Splinterlands, defending her charge from interlopers seeking to harness the secrets and magic of the fey for their own purpose. With her intoxicating water magic, she can bewitch and beguile others to do her will or call upon the fey to fight for her cause.

Despite the boasts and jests passed around in taverns, the locals steer well clear of the Pembrook. Travelers passing through are warned to do the same. Most take heed, but a handful ignore these warnings, believing their will and their wits strong enough to resist the fey’s charms. The majority come back with nothing to show for their efforts. However, every now and then, some unfortunate soul will return, babbling incoherently or spouting nonsensical poetry about passion and beauty and nature. Link

This time I took as reference the Pembrook Nymph card, it's a character that I really liked when I saw it a few months ago, I had done it in traditional and now I'm doing it again, but in digital. Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Les comparto mi nueva participacion para el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands. Esta vez tome como referencia la carta de Pembrook Nymph, es un personaje que me gusto mucho cuando lo vi hace unos meses atrás, ya que lo había hecho en tradicional y ahora lo vuelvo a hacer, pero en digital. I started making the sketch of the character, I used Clip Studio Paint to work all the illustration and took a picture of myself to make a pose that I liked and helped me to make the whole composition of the character. I took all the time I needed to do the sketch, so I could get a good composition, since it's something I'm working on, half bodies and moving away from time to time to draw only faces.

Comencé haciendo el boceto del personaje, use Clip Studio Paint para trabajar toda la ilustración y tome una foto de mi mismo para hacer una pose que me gustara y me ayudara a hacer toda la composición del personaje. Me tome todo el tiempo necesario haciendo el boceto, para así llegar a tener una buena composición, ya que es algo que ando trabajando, medio cuerpos y alejando de ve en cuando a dibujar solamente rostros.

Once I had the sketch ready, I started working on the line art, which is one of the things I've been focusing on lately, making good line art, since it's something I've taken up again in my style of drawing. I used some nib brushes and ink to do all the line art. And after that, I start doing all the color work, I started with a base color, which would be the color of the skin, which in this case I took it as a reference of the original drawing, which is a very grayish green, like most of my color palettes.

Una vez que tuve el boceto listo, paso a comenzar a trabajar el line art, que es una de las cosas en que ando enfocado últimamente, hacer buenos line arts, ya que es algo que he vuelto a retomar en mi estilo de dibujo. Use unos pinceles de plumilla y tinta para hacer todo el line art. Y luego de eso, paso a hacer todo el trabajo de color, comencé con un color base, que vendría siendo el color de la piel, que en este caso lo tome como referencia del dibujo original, el cual es un verde muy grisáceo, como la mayoría de mis paletas de color.

In the upper part of the canvas I made my reference color palette of the character, which I took as I said before from the original drawing. The truth is that my style as far as color is concerned has always been with colors tending to gray and not so saturated as far as color is concerned, the truth is how I personally like to work, but this time I wanted to give a little more saturation to the color palette.

En la parte superior del lienzo hice mi paleta de color de referencia del personaje, la cual tome como les había dicho antes del dibujo original. La verdad mi estilo en cuanto al color siempre ha sido con colores tirando al gris y no tan saturados en cuanto al color, la verdad es como a mi me gusta trabajar en lo personal, pero esta vez quise darle un poco mas de saturación a la paleta de color.

To do all the color work in this illustration, I used only two brushes, well; I use watercolor brushes that I downloaded and one that comes from the factory in the drawing program called "round mixer", they are my favorite brushes to work with. The watercolor brushes are a set of four brushes and have become the ones I use the most. To finish off the illustration, I just did the fluorescent fish that is in her hands and added bubbles around it, detail a simple background and that's it folks, that would be it.

Para hacer todo el trabajo de color en esta ilustración, use solamente dos pinceles, bueno; yo uso pinceles de acuarelas que descargue y uno que viene de fabrica en el programa de dibujo que se llama "mezclador redondo", son mis pinceles favoritos para trabajar. Los pinceles de acuarela, son un set de cuatro pinceles y se han vuelto los que mas uso la verdad. Para culminar con la ilustración, solo hice el pez fluorescente que se encuentra en sus manos y agregue burbujas a su alrededor, detalle un fondo simple y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
