A possessed puppet is a construct created by a spellcaster to act as a spy, servant, or even an assassin. It appears to be an innocuous doll until the last moment when it strikes. It is not unheard of for the creator to lace their construct's weapon with various maladies as well.
Possessed puppets are used for all manner of tasks, some darker than others. Alchemists utilize them in their stores to assist with their work, while shopkeepers have them run errands. Due to their blind obedience and lack of conscience, though, many are tasked with assassinations and other devious plots. Nothing is quite so unnerving as a child’s toy with a pair of daggers, about to snuff out your life.
What they are most prized for, though, is their ability to telepathically transmit anything they see or hear back to their creators, making them incredibly effective spies. This exchange of information is possible through the blood used in its creation, which creates a mystical bond between puppet and master.Link

Participating as every week in the @Splinterlands art contest, making a fanart of Possessed Puppet, which I must say right now has been one of my favorite drawings of this year hahaha. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed making this version of this card, no doubt I'm excited to continue doing work like this in the near future.
Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Participando como cada semana en el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands, haciendo un fanart de Possessed Puppet, el cual debo decir desde ya que ha sido uno de mis dibujos favoritos de este año jajaja. No saben cuanto disfrute hacer esta versión de esta carta, sin duda estoy emocionado de seguir haciendo trabajos como estos próximamente.
To make my version of the Possessed Puppet, what I did was to look on Pinterest for some photos that I liked to use as a reference and structure the sketch of my version. I found a few photos of models that I liked and I used them as a reference. I looked at the elements that we can see in the original drawing and integrated them into the first sketch. Once I made and integrated everything in the sketch, I went to work on the line art, so I cleaned all that first dirty sketch and left everything ready to start with the color.
Para hacer mi versión de Possessed Puppet, lo que hice fue buscar en Pinterest alguna foto que me gustara para usarla como referencia y estructurar el boceto de mi versión. Encontré unas cuantas fotos de modelos que me gustaron y que use como referencia. Me fije en los elementos que podemos ver en el dibujo original y los fui integrando en el primer boceto. Una vez que hice e integre todo en el boceto, me fui a trabajar el line art, así limpio todo ese primer boceto sucio y dejo todo listo para comenzar con el color.

To do the color work, I took as a reference the color palette of the original drawing, taking it to my style so I could work better. I don't take the colors exactly as they are in the original drawing, but rather I work them in tones similar to the original and always taking them more towards the grays, since they are the color palettes that I personally like to see and work with in my illustrations. Actually the color palette of the original character I have as a minimum reference, since in many occasions I change the colors to my convenience hahaha.
Para hacer el trabajo de color, tome como referencia la paleta de color del dibujo original, llevándola a mi estilo y así poder trabajar mejor. No tomo exactamente los colores como están en el dibujo original, si no mas bien que los voy trabajando en tonos parecidos a los originales y siempre llevándolos mas hacia los grises, ya que son las paletas de colores que a mi en lo personal me gusta ver y trabajar en mis ilustraciones. Realmente la paleta de color del personaje original la tengo como una referencia mínima, ya que en muchas ocasiones cambio los colores a mi conveniencia jajaja.

Talking a little about the color process in this drawing, I must say that I worked two different ways in this illustration. One is leaving the color without blurring at all, so that the brush strokes can be seen and the other is the traditional blurring, I think both techniques can be appreciated very well and personally I love how those strokes are seen in some areas, combined with some blurring of the color in others. Since I use watercolor brushes, I don't use the blending brushes from the factory in clip studio paint, since I use a watercolor brush or blender that I recently downloaded and it has really been the best, since everything looks so perfectly blurred and I love the result that we can get using this brush, one of my favorites lately.
Hablando un poco sobre el proceso de color en este dibujo, debo decir que trabaje dos formas diferentes en esta ilustración. Una es dejando el color sin difuminar nada, que se vean los trazos del pincel y la otra es el difuminado de toda la vida, creo que se aprecian ambas técnicas muy bien y en lo personal me encanta como se ven esos trazos en algunas zonas, combinados con algunas difuminaciones del color en otras. Ya que hago uso de pinceles de acuarelas, no uso los pinceles de difuminar o mezcla de color de fabrica en clip studio paint, puesto a que hago uso de un pincel o mezclador de acuarela que descargue hace poco y realmente ha sido lo mejor, ya que todo se ve tan perfectamente difuminado y amo el resultado que podemos obtener usando este pincel, de mis favoritos últimamente.

To finish with this illustration, I will tell you that I tried to work the whole drawing harmoniously in terms of color. Trying that all the drawing itself, not out of tune with the color palette I used, that really the color that takes the lead in this illustration, is that dark red. It is found in practically all the drawing, from the skin to the clothes. I loved this drawing with madness and without a doubt it is one of my favorites of this year.
Para culminar con esta ilustración, les diré que trate de trabajar todo el dibujo armoniosamente en cuanto al color. Tratando que todo el dibujo en sí, no desentonara con la paleta de color que use, que realmente el color que se lleva el protagonismo en esta ilustración, es ese rojo oscuro. Que se encuentra en prácticamente todo el dibujo, desde la piel hasta en la ropa. Ame con locura este dibujo y sin duda este en mis favoritos de este año.
