Splinterlands Art Contest Week 282 | 🌊✨ Coastal Nymph ✨
Coastal nymphs inhabit the shores of Lemell’s islands. They are an agitated and ill-tempered splinter of nymphs, quick to anger and rise to a fight. They travel across the archipelagos on great rafts of driftwood, scavenging from the seabed and selling their finds to local villages.
One day, a group of coastal nymphs discovered the flooded remains of an old laboratory. Within it, they found remnants of lost tech. Some of it was even salvageable. One such item was a harpoon crafted from the elemental mana of water. While deadly, it was also imprecise, often missing its target and hitting something else entirely. Whatever it hit, however, would fall foul of the harpoon’s magic, which caused an affliction with a lasting effect.
When the Riftwatchers arrived on Lemell and offered a place in their ranks, these coastal nymphs eagerly joined, happy for the opportunity to use the Chaos Legion as target practice. Link

Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I participate again in the Splinterlands art contest, taking as inspiration and reference the 🌊✨ Coastal Nymph ✨🌊 card. I really loved this illustration, I used a perspective that I don't usually use, because I was tired of always doing the same and this time I wanted to do something different in terms of the pose of the character and the result I got, I just loved it.
Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Participo nuevamente en el concurso de arte de Splinterlands, tomando como inspiración y referencia la carta de 🌊✨ Coastal Nymph ✨🌊. De verdad que esta ilustración me encanto demasiado, use una perspectiva que no suelo usar, porque ya estaba cansado de hacer siempre lo mismo y esta vez quise hacer algo diferente en cuanto a la pose del personaje y el resultado que obtuve, simplemente me encanto.
I started making the sketch, taking as references some dynamic poses that I found on Pinterest, to serve as a base and to be able to build and structure a good perspective that I like. In the end I was able to make a perspective that I really liked and maybe the drawing is anatomically wrong, but I personally loved it, but I spent a long time sketching. After that I started to clean up the whole sketch and leave the line art ready to work on the color.
Comencé haciendo el boceto, tomando como referencias algunas poses dinámicas que encontré en Pinterest, para que me sirvan de base y poder armar y estructurar una buena perspectiva que me guste. Al final pude hacer una perspectiva que realmente me gusto y puede que el dibujo anatómicamente este mal, pero a mi en lo personal me encanto, pero si estuve un buen rato bocetando. Luego de eso comencé a limpiar todo el boceto y dejar listo el line art para trabajar el color.

After having all the line art work ready, I start to draw the color palette that I will use in the illustration. Basically the colors that I use, I take them from the original drawing, but I give some changes to them, I can add some tones that are not there or I can remove others that I don't like, the truth is that in terms of color, I usually focus a little on my tastes. For example; in the original illustration, the color of the skin is turquoise and I changed it for a super light gray, almost white and that's because I don't like skins in those tones.
Luego de tener listo todo el trabajo de line art, me pongo a sacar la paleta de color que usare en la ilustración. Básicamente los colores que uso, los tomo del dibujo original, pero le doy algunos cambios a los mismos, puedo agregar algunos tonos que no estén o puedo quitar otros que no me gusten, la verdad que en cuanto al color, si suelo centrarme un poco en mis gustos. Por ejemplo; en la ilustración original, el color de la piel es turquesa y yo lo cambie por un gris super claro, casi blanco y eso es porque no me gustan las pieles en esos tonos.

After I have my color palette chosen, I start adding the base colors throughout the drawing. I start with the skin, then the hair, the clothes and all the elements we can find in the illustration. After that step, I begin to detail each area, starting with the face, adding redness and shadows, then I continue with the rest of the skin and so on. I do all the color work in parts and at the same time, I see if the tones I am using are harmonious with each other and if there is a good combination of them and if there is not, I simply change the tones. In this step is to add color and mix without further ado.
Luego que tengo mi paleta de color elegida, comienzo a agregar los colores base en todo el dibujo. Comienzo con la piel, luego el cabello, la ropa y todos los elementos que podemos encontrar en la ilustración. Después de ese paso, comienzo a detallar cada zona, comenzando por el rostro, agregando rojeces y sombras, luego sigo con el resto de la piel y demás. Todo el trabajo de color lo voy haciendo por partes y a su vez, voy viendo si los tonos que voy usando son armoniosos entre si y haya una buena combinación de los mismos y si no la hay, simplemente cambios los tonos. En este paso es agregar color y mezclar sin mas.

Finally what I do is to add some final details, like adjusting some color tones, add more shadows, more lights and make some details like the glows in a big part of the drawing. I also make a background, which I add some simple details and that's it, that's all folks.
Por ultimo lo que hago es agregar algunos detalles finales, como ajustar algunos tonos de color, agregar más sombras, más luces y hacer algunos detalles como los los brillos en gran parte del dibujo. También hago un fondo, el cual le agrego algunos detalles sencillos y listo, eso es todo amigos.
