Hi, how are you? Once again I'm making a post for the #socialmediachallenge of @Splinterlands and for this, I took as a reference a card that I had seen a long time ago and I liked it too much, because it is a skull and I'm a fan of skulls, so it was the one chosen to make it in my style. The card is EVER-HUNGRY SKULL and I simply fell in love with it, so today you will see my version of it.

Nuevamente haciendo una publicación para #socialmediachallenge de @Splinterlands y para ello, tome como referencia una carta que desde hace mucho había visto y me había gustado demasiado, ya que es una calavera y yo soy fanático de las calaveras, así que fue la elegida para hacerla en mi estilo. La carta es EVER-HUNGRY SKULL y simplemente me quede enamorado de ella, así que el día de hoy verán mi versión de la misma.

I started making the sketch in my sketchbook, taking the original letter or character as a reference and inspiration. To be honest, making this drawing didn't take me much time, since the illustration in general is just a skull or skull, without elements or anything else. For my version, I made a skull adding aspects of it more marked or darker, like sharp teeth and two horns protruding from it on each side. I also added two roses at the top, as it is very common to see this kind of composition in terms of skulls or skulls with these flowers in different tattoos or drawings. And finally, I added what were two butterflies, one perched on a horn and the other flying, so I would have a composition with more elements and not just a skull alone and that's it.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en mi cuaderno de dibujos, tomando como referencia e inspiración la carta o personaje original. La verdad, hacer este dibujo no me llevo mucho tiempo, ya que la ilustración en general solo es un cráneo o calavera, sin elementos ni demás. Para mi versión, hice una calavera agregando aspectos de la misma más marcados u oscuros, como dientes afilados y dos cuernos sobresaliendo del mismo a cada lado. Agregue también dos rosas en la parte superior, ya que es muy común ver esta especie de composición en cuanto a cráneos o calaveras con estas flores en diferentes tatuajes o dibujos. Y por ultimo, agregue lo que fueron dos mariposas, una posada en un cuerno y la otra volando, así tendría una composición con mas elementos y no solo un cráneo solo y ya.

When I finished the whole sketch, the next thing to do was to start working on the color in the whole composition. I was looking at the color palette of the original character and the truth is that it is not very wide, since it has colors like blue in a very light tone, red, some shades of orange and black. I played a lot with that color palette, in order to adapt it to my version and I feel that I really got a very good final result.

Cuando termine todo el boceto, lo próximo que seguía era comenzar a trabajar el color en toda la composición. Estuve viendo la paleta de color del personaje original y la verdad no es muy amplia, ya que tiene colores como azul en un tono muy claro, rojo, algunos tonos de naranja y negro. Juegue mucho con esa paleta de color, para así adaptarla a mi versión y siento que realmente obtuve un muy buen resultado final.

To finish with the drawing, the only thing I had to do were the final details, such as the linear work in most of the drawing, adding shadows in areas that were necessary and some details in white, being honest is my favorite part when I do a drawing, because I know I'm already finishing. A drawing that I liked too much the final result, it is added to my list of favorites of this year without a doubt.

Para finalizar con el dibujo, lo único que me toco hacer fueron los detalles finales, como el trabajo de linear en gran parte del dibujo, agregando sombras en zonas que fueran necesarias y algunos detalles en blanco, siendo sincero es mi parte favorita cuando hago un dibujo, porque se que ya estoy acabando. Un dibujo que me gusto demasiado el resultado final, se agrega a mi lista de favoritos de este año sin duda.
