Mischievous and violent creatures, bramble pixies live in abundance on the forest realm of Folia, where they spend their time tormenting woodland creatures, laying traps, and making a general nuisance of themselves. They have a nasty penchant for wrapping the deadly hedge-scoke bramble around their blades. The sap of this bramble is known to enhance emotion—particularly anger—and the bramble pixie is prone to striking at their foes in a deadly rage, stabbing the life out of them.
When the Riftwatchers visited Folia, some of these pixies stowed away in their packs. During the journey through the rifts to Praetoria something happened to their wings and when they arrived they were unable to fly; however, you can always hear the angry buzz of their wings when they attack. While they’ve learned to avoid contact with the hedge-scoke bramble’s sap, the bramble pixies haven’t lost their mischievous streak, which can be a painful annoyance to their Riftwatcher allies. Link
Los duendecillos de las zarzas, criaturas traviesas y violentas, viven en abundancia en el reino forestal de Folia, donde pasan el tiempo atormentando a las criaturas del bosque, tendiendo trampas y causando molestias en general. Tienen una desagradable afición a envolver sus hojas con la mortífera zarza de los setos. Se sabe que la savia de esta zarza aumenta las emociones, sobre todo la ira, y el duendecillo de la zarza suele atacar a sus enemigos con una furia mortal, apuñalándolos hasta dejarlos sin vida.

Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! Sharing again a new Splinterlands fan art for this week's social media challenge. This time I chose the ✨ Bramble Pixie ✨ card, I had never seen it before, or maybe I had, but I didn't remember it. I am completely loving doing drawings or characters on half a body and for this fan art I was definitely going to do it that way and the end result, I just fell in love.
Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Compartiendo nuevamente un nuevo fan art de Splinterlands para el social media challenge de esta semana. Esta vez escogí la carta de ✨ Bramble Pixie ✨, nunca la había visto, o quizás si, pero no la recordaba. Estoy amando complemente hacer dibujos o personajes en medio cuerpo y para este fan art sin duda lo iba a hacer de esa manera y el resultado final, simplemente me enamoro.
I start making the sketch of the character in a first layer, where I structure the whole drawing, adding the elements that we can see in the original illustration and as I had mentioned before, this drawing was made half body. After having been a while assembling the whole body of the character, I add a new layer where I do the line art work, and then I go to work on the color.
Comienzo haciendo el boceto del personaje en una primera capa, donde estructuro todo el dibujo, agregando los elementos que podemos ver en la ilustración original y como ya les había mencionado anteriormente, este dibujo lo hice a medio cuerpo. Luego de haber estado un rato armando todo el cuerpo del personaje, agrego una nueva capa en donde hago el trabajo de line art, para luego irme a trabajar el color.

To work the color, what I did was to take some of the colors that can be found in the original drawing. The truth is I don't love characters with green skin, it's something I've always hated and in the original illustration it's that color and personally I wasn't going to paint my version in that tone, so I gave myself the task of using another color for the skin and not using that green. So leaving that aside, the colors I took to work my drawing of ✨ Bramble Pixie ✨ were blue, white and brown, with these I put together a color palette to my liking, adding colors like red and purple, making a good combination of colors in general according to me.
Para trabajar el color, lo que hice fue tomar algunos de los colores que podemos encontrar en el dibujo original. La verdad no me encantan los personajes que tienen la piel de color verde, es algo que siempre he detestado y en la ilustración original es de ese color y en lo personal no iba a pintar de ese tono mi versión, así que me di la tarea de usar otro color para la piel y no usar ese verde. Entonces dejando eso de lado, los colores que tome para trabajar mi dibujo de ✨ Bramble Pixie ✨ fueron el azul, blanco y marrón, con estos me arme una paleta de color a mi gusto, agregando colores como el rojo y morado, haciendo una buena combinación de colores en general según yo.

I add the base colors of each zone in the drawing and after that, I go to work on the details, such as redness, shadows and lights. I always use the same brushes in all my works, which are basically watercolors, watercolor mixers, markers and graphite pencils and nibs, nothing else. I alternate all the brushes, using some to paint the skin, others for the shadows and others for the glows. I always start painting the skin, adding the redness and the shadows, and then I go on to detail everything else.
Agrego los colores base de cada zona en el dibujo y luego de eso, me voy a trabajar los detalles, como las rojeces, sombras y luces. Siempre uso los mismos pinceles en todos mis trabajos, que básicamente son de acuarelas, mezcladores de acuarela, marcadores y lapices de grafito y plumilla, sin mas. Voy alternando todos los pinceles, usando unos para pintar la piel, otros para las sombras y otros para los brillos. Siempre comienzo pintando la piel, agregando los rojeces y las sombras, para luego irme a detallar todo lo demás.

The last thing I always do is glitter and in this illustration I wanted to add some "fireflies" in the background so that it didn't look so empty and I think it gives a more fantasy touch to the illustration itself, since it is a character inspired by a fairy. The truth is an illustration that did not take me long to finish and the final result I loved.
Lo ultimo que siempre hago son los brillos y en este ilustración quise agregar ademas, unas "luciérnagas" en el fondo para que no se viera tan vació el mismo y creo que le da un toque más fantasioso a la ilustración en sí, ya que es un personaje inspirado en un hada. La verdad es una ilustración que no me llevo mucho tiempo en terminarla y el resultado final me ha encantado.
