For this week's Social Media, I wanted to make a fan art of Theorosa Nightshade, it's a card that I had saved in my image gallery on my computer and the truth is I had forgotten I had it there, so I gave myself the task of making it in my own style and share it with the Splinterlands community.

Para el Social Media de esta semana, quise hacer un fan art de Theorosa Nightshade, es una carta que tenia guardada en mi galería de imágenes en mi computadora y la verdad había olvidado que la tenia ahí, entonces me di la tarea de hacerla a mi estilo y compartirla con la comunidad de Splinterlands.

I started sketching in traditional drawing because of electrical failures with the electricity in my town, which does not allow me to work well on the computer and thanks to that, I have been retaking the traditional drawing, so little by little I am returning to drawing in traditional, which I love.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en tradicional por fallas eléctricas con la luz en mi pueblo, lo cual no me permite trabajar de buena forma en la computadora y gracias a eso, he estado retomando el dibujo tradicional, así que poco a poco estoy volviendo a dibujar en tradicional, lo cual me encanta.

Once I have the sketch ready, what I do is to transfer it to digital and start working on the line art, but at the same time, I also work and fix certain things of the drawing, such as the anatomy or other things. In this drawing it didn't take me a lot of time to get it ready, since I personally didn't see many wrong details and line art is something I've always liked to do, so everything is fine on that side.

Una vez he tenido el boceto listo, lo que hago es pasarlo a digital y comenzar a trabajar el line art, pero a su vez, también voy trabajando y arreglando ciertas cosas del dibujo, como lo pueden ser la anatomía o demás cosas. En este dibujo la verdad no me tomo mucho tiempo tenerlo listo, ya que en lo personal no le vi muchos detalles erróneos y el line art es algo que siempre me ha gustado hacer, así que todo bien por ese lado.

Once I had all the sketch ready, with the line art finished and so on, the next thing I do is to start working on the color. The color work is not something complicated for me, since I just choose the color palette that I will use for the drawing and after that, I start to apply the colors in each zone of the drawing. For the color palette of this drawing, I based it on the original one, I just adapted it to my tastes, which basically are always color palettes in grayish tones or not so saturated. The truth is that I only took the most predominant colors in the original illustration and put together my color palette.

Una vez que tuve todo el boceto listo, ya con el line art terminado y demás, lo siguiente que hago es comenzar a trabajar el color. El trabajo de color no es algo complicado para mi, ya que solo escojo la paleta de color que usare para el dibujo y seguido a eso, comienzo a aplicar los colores en cada zona del dibujo. Para la paleta de color de este dibujo, me base en la original, solamente la adapte a mis gustos, que básicamente siempre son paletas de color en tonos grisáceas o no tan saturadas. La verdad solo tome los colores más predominantes en la ilustración original y arme mi paleta de color.

When I have all the illustration with the base colors for each zone, what I do is to start detailing each zone respectively. To do this step, what I do is to use watercolor brushes and watercolor paint mixing brushes and I add darker colors than the base colors and I mix everything. Little by little I am checking that the contrast is going to be good and that the colors look harmonious with each other, this can always be working hand in hand with the chromatic circle, but the truth is that each person works as he/she likes.

Cuando tengo toda la ilustración con los colores base para cada zona, lo que hago es comenzar a detallar cada zona respectivamente. Para hacer este paso, lo que hago es usar pinceles de acuarelas y pinceles mezcladores de pintura para acuarelas y voy agregando colores más oscuros que los colores base y voy mezclando todo. Poco a poco me voy fijando que el contraste vaya quedando bien y que los colores se vean armoniosos entre si, esto siempre lo podemos ir trabajando de la mano del circulo cromático, pero la verdad cada persona trabaja a su gusto.

The last thing I had to do was to add some final details to the drawing, like some glows, adjust some color tones and make the background, which basically my backgrounds are just a base color and one or two details and that's it folks, that would be all.

Lo ultimo que tuve que hacer fue agregar detalles finales al dibujo, como algunos brillos, ajustar ciertos tonos de color y hacer el fondo, que básicamente mis fondos solo son un color base y uno que otro detalle la verdad y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
