Opportunity? Martyr, of course! [eng/pt] (Battle Mage Secret)

image.png

I tried to create a self-explanatory banner for this week's Battle Mage Secrets, and I believe you can already imagine what will happen here, right? 😉

Yes, if all monsters have Opportunity, meaning they will target the opponent's monster with the lowest health, it guarantees that a martyr can be targeted before any other monster if you plan your strategy correctly.
And what if we abuse that by reviving the martyr? You've seen this strategy here, and you know it can be quite advantageous.

This time, we'll use one of the most evolved summoners from my collection, Chanseus The Great level 3, rented for 66 DEC/day 🤑.

image.png

In addition to resurrecting the first monster to die, Chanseus will give armor to the frontline and heal the backline. Have I mentioned how much I love the Life element? 😍

The Match

image.png

The match came perfectly, with 99 available mana and, in addition to Equal Opportunity, magic monsters are banned, and everyone gains Fury, which means that monsters with Taunt are at a disadvantage.

Our strategy will be to doubly buff two flying monsters, hoping that the opponent misses many shots. For that, we'll position Venari Marksrat (our martyr) between Luminous Eagle and War Pegasus.

image.png

Our frontline will be a Goblin Mech, with Piercing and Stun, to take a lot of hits and disrupt the opponent's game, in case it's the last monster on our side of the field.

image.png

I completed the formation with Sunkai Harvester and Supply Runner. In hindsight, I should have placed monsters with more health than the flying ones to make the strategy even more effective.

And our team will be as follows:

image.png

Let's see what the opponent has to offer in battle.

Opponent's Team

image.png

I must admit, when I saw the enemy formation, I got worried. Yodin Zaku is one of the strongest summoners at the moment, distributing Blast to his squad, buffing ranged attacks, and giving +1 health to its monsters. The enemy team came with relatively strong and well-protected monsters, although the opponent didn't bring many ranged monsters, not fully exploiting the potential of the Fire summoner.

Special mention to level 5 Arkemis The Bear with Halving, reducing the attack of monsters it hits (if they survive its powerful attack):

Activated Effects

image.png

Looking at it like this, it doesn't seem very favorable for our side, but we have a strategy, let's believe in it.

Round 2

image.png

Marksrat fulfilled its mission, leaving us with 2 flying monsters with enviable stats.

Round 3

image.png

The planning flaw may cost us the game: it's the 3rd round, and we only have the flying monsters and the frontline left. I hope the flying strategy works. Still, Blast can disrupt my plans, and a lot!

Round 4

image.png

We start round 4 with all monsters still alive (thanks to missed attacks by the opponent), and we take down the opponent's Goblin Mech.

Round 5

image.png

Another opponent's monster out of combat, and we're still alive thanks to our flying monsters.

Round 6

image.png

The opponent's bear has fallen, and we're still alive. It looks like we're doing well.

Round 7

image.png

Well, it seems like it's over.

This battle didn't yield any rewards because it was a friendly match against my friend @viniciotricolor. In fact, it was against the XBOT using @viniciotricolor's cards in practice mode, a service provided for free to anyone who wants to practice against bots. Just go to https://xbot.app/practice and copy the name of an account with the practice bot activated.

I highly recommend it to improve your techniques against this powerful machine that is xbot, especially when you have some free time and no energy to play ranked matches.

And those were Pablito's battle secrets, folks. I hope you enjoyed them. Until next time.

Opportunity? Martyr, of course!

image.png

image.png

a partida

image.png

image.png

E nosso time será esse:

image.png

Time adversário

image.png

Aí sim, man! Eu vi a partida. Achei a ideia do Xbot Prátice genial, pois assim ambos saímos ganhando.
