Have you minted your Runi?
Finally, Runis have arrived!
In a few days minting will be open to the public, but for now only the lucky ones who were able to join Runi's presale can mint them.
Apart from gaming nfts, all the nft crazyness completely passed me by. I'm not exactly an art fan, and paying insane amounts for an nft that (more often than not) has no utility apart from bragging rights never appealed to me.
But these ones are different. Ohhh so different! A nft collection on Ethereum, listed on Opensea AND a usable in game card with pretty cool stats? I'm in!!!! I think it was a genious move from Splinterlands team, appealing to collector, speculators, and gamers alike.
So off I ventured for the first time in Opensea, and the minting process was as easy as it gets:
Connect the wallet you used on the presale, on the upper right corner.
click the mint button
- cross your fingers for a super-cool-goldfoil-holdingapickle-runi
- And... BEHOLD!!!
This was the first image I saw. The dumb me admired... contemplated... and though: "man... this is THE UGLIEST Runi I've seen!! No colours? No features whatsoever??"
I then minted my second one, since I was fortunate enough to get 2 whitelist spots. Crossed my fingers again and...
Same image.
Only then I thought that I wasn't probably seeing things right. 😁 My cool guildmates told me to refresh metadata and then yes, after a couple of minutes...
There they are! Certainly cooler than the monochromatic version! :P The second one is my favourite by far!
Although some traits seem pretty rare now, only when full minting is done will we know how rare are our Runi's traits. Regardless of rarity, for the ingame use alone, I have no doubt this collection is going to be a sucess. How big... we'll probably find out soon!

Cool. I didn't get any. Love the attributes on that card looks worth it just to have it in your deck. oh yeah and it does look really cool too 😁
Being able to used was what convinced me to get in. I hope to sell one of them for a ridiculous high amount some day, and keep the other one to play! :)) !PIZZA
