Crypto Gaming Is Complicated
So I have been doing my research on Splinterlands and I came to the conclusion that it's not for me. I was expecting fully immersive turn based card game, and instead I got card management game that is ad much exciting to play as other management games. It's a game genre that is not for me.
But my ex boyfriend is really good in management games and I have been trying to talk him over to look into it, but his words are "I don't know anything about crypto". I have been telling him that I can manage the crypto side and he can even try to play with my account, send him tutorial videos, but no success so far. I will keep trying.
I'm RPG gamer and I have been looking if there would be other game for me and yes! I found Nine Chronicles and I was so excited to strat playing this. I installed the game, waited for available invitation codes and once there where codes, I tried to redeem one.

This is one thing that Blockchain apps need to improve, why everything is always so complicated? . Yeah sure, I can BUY code for 500 NCG or 465 USD.

So I will keep playing my Nintendo RPG games that are easy to access without this kind of hurdles.
When someone is going to take the Apple approach and make crypto easy to use on apps and other applications? It's so way too complicated for most users. So I do understand why my ex doesn't want anything to do with it.

A lot of good points. You need a wallet here and a wallet there and your address is a gibberish mess og letters and numbers. Hive makes all of that easier with just your username as your wallet address at the least. Also the gameplay of Splinterlands is the worst. If you can even call it gameplay.
It's a game, but fall under management games and it really is not for everyone including me. Yeah I absolutely hate the need for multiple wallets and the fact that there is no big "mainstream" platform where you could buy all type ro coins & tokens. Very long way to go unfortunately
I have been playing NCG since the prelaunch. I was one of the early adopters and is a pretty fun game. The graphics are fantastic and the team is putting a lot of work into it. I expect NCG will be back up in the $4 to $6 range within the next year. I missed the boat when it was that high a month or so ago. You should check out Dark Country. It is a card game that I think is more the style you are looking for.

NCG isn't really turn based. It is more of a side scrolling auto-attack. It is focused on the whole idea of improving your gear. The combat all takes place automatically.

I think it has to do with limiting the number of transactions that take place on the blockchain. I can't imagine how many resources you would need either via gas or staked to cover all of the tx's for something turn based.
Maybe someone will innovate in the future to solve this problem
