Novice Player Guide: Know your "Playable" Splinterlands Summoners - TARSA & KELYA FRENDUL

Hello lovely friends on Splinterlands and Hive. I hope your day is moving on smoothly and fine. I am happy to share with you my experiences and growth on the Splinterlands game as well as inspire newbies to start up their own journey on this fun and wealth game.

The Splinterlands game is free to play as well as play to earn. The game is highly intelligent in make up and requires some level of seriousness, strategy and a depth of understanding. This post is to serve as a guide to a Novice Splinterlands player, expositing the playable Summoners in the Novice league, and how to utilize them.

In my early days of trying to battle, I lost several battles because I had no idea on how the summoners function. The summoners are like the battle commanders. The monsters who are like foot shoulders can only be effective to extent of the veracity of the summoners. In fact, the availability of monsters depend on which summoner is selected.

As at today, to every novice league player, the Splinterlands game give you access to 11 summoners. The 11 summoners have different special features and capacities to either influence it's friendly monsters or the enemy monsters.

All of the summoner cards are rare level 1 cards with 3 or 4 manna caps. The distribution of the cards according to Splinter types are:

• Fire - 2
• Water - 2
• Earth - 2
• Life - 2
• Death - 2
• Dragon - 1
• Neutral - 0

The card names are as follows:

• Pyre
• Tarsa
• Bortus
• Kelya Frendul
• Wizard of Eastwood
• Obsidian
• Mother Khala
• General Sloan
• Contessa L'ament
• Thaddius Brood
• Drake of Arnak

Now, let's look at a few of the summoners. Permit me to start with my favourite summoners - TARSA & KELYA FRENDUL

1. TARSA

Card name: TARSA
Card rarity: RARE
Splinter type: Fire Summoner
Card Type: Chaos Legion
Abilities:

1. All friendly Monsters have +1 Health
2. All friendly Melee attack Monsters have +1 Melee attack

Tarsa summoner was the first smmoner I used in my premier battles. It was really fun having TARSA lead my battles. Then, all I could understand about card stats was the health. I was happy to see that my monsters have an extra health added to them so they do not die so soon.

There are a lot of interesting monsters that fight with TARSA and I won some good number of battles.

2. KELYA FRENDUL

Card name: KELYA FRENDUL
Card rarity: RARE
Splinter type: Water Summoner
Card Type: Chaos Legion
Abilities:

1. All friendly Monsters have +1 Speed
2. All friendly Monsters have +1 Armor

This has been my newly found love summoner. WHen my battles got fiercer, I could find some stronger Monsters fighting with FRENDUL. Most of such monsters have huge melee attack stats that helps deplete the enemy's health so quickly. I've found KELYA FRENDUL to be a power summoner that has combated with several other splinters successfully.

Space and time would fail to capture all of the summoners available for a novice splinter player. In the second part of this post, I would cover more summoners to help you know which to choose in your first set of battles in the Splinterlands game.
