Where to invest in Splinterlands as a New User

I am happy with my growth in the splinterlands game and I am always so happy to share tips with other new users so you find it easier to navigate your way. Reading my view of the game would be more useful to a new user because there would be that feel of growth as a novice who tried to understand an innovation.

The focus for this post would be how a new user can know where to invest first in the Splinterlands game. My earnings from Splinterlands game is growing on daily basis and I can tell you it has been in bits compounding to form great stuffs. But I can say it's been a wonderful journey so far and I don't regret engaging in this community of Splinterlands.

The splinterlands game comes with an array of investment opportunities for both the rich class and the starters when it comes to investments. Writing this is just an ordinary girl, undergraduate of linguistics that joined hive to catch social fun. Over time, I have learnt a lot and it comes with growth in my finances too.

My investments in splinterlands started quite much later but the few weeks of putting in some tiny cash has really been rewarding. The few I will be sharing in this post that is easy for a new user. They are:

1. Simple DeFi Staking
2. Liquidity addition
3. Buying Cards and Card packs
4. SPT (Splintertalk) curation

Let's dive in and discuss them.

1. Simple DeFi Staking

DeFi means Decentralized Finance. That is, financial transactions between parties without intermediaries. In the splinterlands game, staking SPS is the simplest DeFi option.

Staking SPS was the first investment decision I took in the splinterlands game. I am happy I took that decision then. This is because, not only I'm I receiving SPS rewards, I am also receiving GLX airdrops everyday. Below is a link to my post on how you can stake your SPS.. It is quite simple to understand.

2. Provide Liquidity

When you visit the pools page of splinterlands game. You will find crypto pairs, example DEC-SPS, SPS-SWAP.HIVE. Players and invest simply add a equivalent pair of tokens to the pools to help traders have what to trade with.

For every pool, the reward token is clearly stated. For example, if you provide DEC and SPS for the DEC-SPS liquidity pool, you will receive DEC token daily as reward for doing that. Some of the pools are very profitable with as much as 63% APY.

3. Buying Cards and Card packs

This is one interesting way to invest in splinterlands game. When you buy cards, you improve the power of your deck and that gives your team a higher probability to win battles. Your cards represent characters, whether summoners or monsters for your battles.

Buying a pack of cards like Riftwatchers, Chaos Legion, Tower defense and others helps you buy a set of random cards that when opened can turn a whole deal of fortune. I purchase Riftwatchers packs and the card above is one of the cards that got revealed when I opened.

The card is presently worth $1.37 if I should sell it. It was far below that worth as at when I opened the pack. As the gaming economics improve, card values also improve.

4. SPT (Splintertalk) curation

SPT is the native token for the splintertalk interface basically for sharing splinterlands posts. Any post created through splintertalk or with the #splinterlands tag will automatically earn SPT token depending on the stake of the user that voted your post.

SPT tokens are very cheap at the moment and you can buy a handful on hive-engine, stake them and upvote splinterlands contents for your curation rewards.

Don't get intimidated when you sight users that are investing 1,000 USD and more at a go. You an start your splinterlands investment with your budget.
