How did my CLP token endeavour go.

A while ago I posted about the CLP Christmas promotion which is a bulk buy opportunity for the recent Splinterlands Christmas Promo.

In the end the CLP token joined in with the YGG Alliance and had to trade some other bonuses to get us a final deal of 3 packs for every 2 tokens and the same for the Arkemis Bear cards.

In the end I got 60 tokens which insured me 90 Chaos Legion Packs and 90 Arkemis Bear cards.

DEC spent on promotion: $111.78

Now opening packs is a gamble but regardless waiting for a price increase on secondary market is the same. With 1000's of packs about to hit the market regardless I opted to just open mine and see what is in the box.

Fortunately I did not have to buy any potions since those things are all I get in rewards anyhow, which yes I will eventually pull the trigger on splitting my Gold account into multiple bronze ones for that reason.

Anyhow besides Gold being a waste of time, here are the results.

• 90 Opened packs: $96.16
• 90 Arkemis Bear: $14.67
  Total: $110.83

If I bought on secondary market at an average of $1.35 it would have cost $121.50;
Including 90 Arkemis Bears at an average of $0.16 for $14.40.

So even with lacklustre pulls on the packs, I got $24.12 more worth out of the promotion.

Some of my favourite cards I have been unwilling to just buy that I did get from the packs is the Chaos Dragon.

Then I also got a few summoners including another Quix which I am strongly considering just selling but when I have time to regroup my account I think I will make a big sell list and try buy my land back.

Aside from those nothing notable, a few legendaries but those seem to be a dime a dozen as it is.

All in all though I am happy I took a bit out and got in on the promotion. With some patience I should be able to work it into even more of a benefit.

At least I did not spend 4000 DEC on a pack so that is good right.
