As mentioned in my previous post, I started the season with a roughly 30 match loss because, well I felt like it. That did bring my ranking down by about 400 points which means for the past 2 days I have had to reclaim my normal ranking by making back about 900 or more points.

The nice thing about being a bit behind though and possibly some good timing during the day is that you tend to then be playing even weaker bots or players. So trailing behind in ranking is usually a good idea if you aren't too concerned with getting nowhere first.

Obviously being in silver and playing for Gold chests, and seeing my coworker being in bronze for a split second and playing for Silver meant I had some real concerns with this new system in general.

Fortunately once I started getting back to Silver I and now in Gold III, I am just a stone's throw away from where I should be playing. I noticed that being rewarded to stay on your side of the tracks definitely pays better.

In silver it is a bit irritating with the points ranging from 3000 to about 5000 per win and needing to start 18000 for the first chest.

In gold I get 6000 on average per win so only 3 wins to the first chest and possibly then 4 etc etc for each after if I am not on a streak.

Not so bad. However.

Dropping down to Silver seems like a good option, and really the % matter little since I would estimate almost double the wins possible in general. Anyway I will just let that simmer because ideally if I drop down I would have to play an entire season in Silver but for Gold chests then start the season after in Silver for Silver chests.

It is no biggy really, and whatever makes things go quicker is also something I prefer. So if I see my coworker is on average hitting higher rewards I can gauge that and decide to drop down.

I think the only ones it does not really benefit to drop down would be the top tier of a league and at that point you would want to push up. Then again this almost only seems applicable for Gold and Silver where if you are in Silver even Silver III you don't necessarily want to drop down, but their is seemingly not much benefit to go struggle in Gold III when you can do just as well or better in Silver II or I

Multiple accounts would probably also be much better for the mid levels , just like I am slowly getting to deciding on making a bronze account but really that takes effort so I will just muse on it a bit.

Definitely ideal for bots and with that they should get even better which makes it a good option to instead of renting to just have a solid bronze account with all the extra CP.

Those are more passing considerations and options I am sure many have already applied. For me I will just play Gold as I do and figure out if it is better to stay in Gold or not. The one that takes the least effort for maximum chests will be the one I go with, the only hurdle would be the one precursor season of staying in Silver but playing for Gold.

Another bonus would be Gold has no worthwhile tourneys, and the tourneys available in general have rubbish requirements so it seems anything above bronze or silver is just a waste of time and definitely just for show when it comes to tournaments.

Overall, things changed, they aren't so shit and everyone can just keep clicking buttons to get their capture rate low enough to call it a day.

Pretty much that is the game. So keep on keeping on.

I started playing again but stopped. It's very complicated now which I assume it needs to be but I used to be able to sit in gold and kick bot ass all day long. Now they let me win about 10% of the time and I don't even know how to counter them. It used to be easy because they used the same basic teams and folded if their splinter couldn't be used. Winning was fun, even if was against bots but losing to the bastards is depressing.

Maybe you need to pay off the ring leader. I find gold a lot nicer when I trail behind , like not trying to reach maximum rank all the time , but maybe that just in my head. The new system is straightforward enough just make sure your chests you are battling for is the same as your league you are in else if you constantly lose regardless it is probably good to drop down instead. !PIZZA

It seems that everyone in Gold league are destroying me. so far I really dislike the focus system.

You did say you are playing with lower summoners or are you at least renting the required cards to compete? Maybe it gets a bit simpler once everyone rushes to higher rankings. !PIZZA
