Level One and Level Three Cards in Packs
Cards in Packs are Level One unless they are gold, which are Level three gold cards!
Many packs when opened will have one Level One Rare and two Level One Commons. Three of such packs may give you cards good enough to start playing and possibly winning a match! Just be sure to play better than three Level One commons cards.
Maybe check out other posts. Some have hints to what some playable combinations of cards. Each card having some average of some Levels is able to win. Considering this you may try out any combination of cards to start that you want.
Suggest getting at least three packs. you may then play three Rares without leveling up cards or trying gold Commons to start if you so choose.
Also going to open some packs and see what is in some packs! Let's go take a look! Second thought one pack is enough today! This is a good pack with an Epic and a gold Common card! Would be a tough pack to beat! Just this pack alone may even be enough to play and win a match too!!

Yes! Gold cards level up with gold cards fer higher power gold cards! A gold team may be a good investment as such a team being more powerful can win more rewards being able to play in higher levels.
