Hello everyone! Pozdrav svima!

Welcome to the new Splinterlands era! This was the first season of the new Ranked system, where the leagues are a just a label, there are no leaderboards (except the ultimate one - Champion), and there are no limits to the level of cards you can play.

I had a good run lately, getting some leaderboard rewards, getting Tournament rewards, having decent winrate... This is all in the past now - Modern league is full of max deck players that cannot advance past Silver and Gold league, making the life of us mortals with Gold (or Silver) level decks a nightmare. Ok, maybe not a nightmare, but there are quite a few battles daily that you lose solely for the reason of having weaker cards. Some rulesets can be won by brute force.

For some reason, Wild league was much easier to climb and after just few days I found myself in the middle of Diamond League, getting into Diamond 1, dropping back to Diamond 2, depending on how my day went. But then a miracle happened! Just two days before the end of season I had a great day with a decent win streak and ended up just 50 points away from Champion rating. Of course, I had to try and make it, and on the last day of the season I did! The moment I stepped into Champ 3 I stopped playing and waited for EOS.

That's why I will be playing for Champion Season chests next season. Let's see how that will work out. 🤞

This season I managed to stake another 2k SPS, bringing my total to 43,5k staked SPS and just a few more season away from 50k milestone.

The USD value of my SPS portfolio dropped down a bit, thanks to SPS price going down again (from $0.0275 last time around to $0.0249 currently). Wen SPS $0.1? 😆

My goal is to keep staking all the SPS I get until I have 100k Staked SPS one day, because this is how much I will need so I don't have to rent SPS any more . 😎

Now let's see how this season looked like in numbers.

I finished the season with (for me) the lowest win rate in a long time - 56% and earned 88 Gold season chests (again, pretty low), together with another 114 (mostly) Diamond daily focus chests (which makes it an average of 7.6 chests per day).

Renting SPS regularly kept my RShares high, but since my win rate was meh, I couldn't get more chests in.

Not even renting those awesome Untamed and older cards regularly didn't help much as my cards are only Gold level and I was battling against max decks all the time. Hopefully things will settle in next season and my win rate and chests earned will improve.

The SPS chart below shows how my low win rate doesn't bring me the SPS income as it used to, and difference in SPS rewards from battles and the Daily Focus chest rewards is almost gone. There was one big spike in the middle of the season when I got almost 250 SPS in daily chest. Not even EOS chest helped my cause.

The rating chart below shows the steady climb in both Wild and Modern league, but that's really doesn't reflect the struggle I had throughout the season.

I ended the season at 3710 rating in Wild League (Champion 3 league!) and 2250 rating in Modern League. I really hope that my experience in Modern league improves this next season, because it's really demoralizing. 🙁

My rating at the start of next season in Wild will reset to 3200 - middle of Diamond 2 league, and Modern will reset to 1700 - middle of Silver 1 league (back to .

And now, what we've all been waiting for - the EOS rewards! You be the judge if my season was a success or a flop.

A couple of Epics, no Legendary cards, and a few GF Commons, together with pretty low SPS loot, I would say this season was a flop. But it could always be worse, right? 😕

For the ones that like numbers, I made a financial recap of the whole season.

If I would to convert all that SPS I earned to DEC, we can see I have around 13k DEC profit. But since I stake all SPS I earn, I'm actually still spending more DEC then I earn. 🤑

And finally, for the ones that like to look at the pretty card pictures (like me) I will show you the recap of my whole season 130 - all 193 chests (88 Gold EOS chests, 78 daily Diamond and 27 daily Gold chests combined). 😍

I did get 3 BCX of Legendary card Iziar, and I finally have it on level 3 (when it gets Martyr). A couple more and I can max it. 😎

I participated in many tournaments this season month, here is the result of my effort:

As you can see I participated in A LOT of tournaments this season, as did hundreds of players. This is mainly because SPS DAO took over the organization of tournaments and their rewards, so all their tournaments have no entry fee, and everyone can join each tournament, no matter of the league they're playing in.

Rewards got boosted by a double, but there is a trick - only first 64 places get rewards (compared to 128 before or sometimes even 256). So you can imagine how that looks like now - champion players reaping all the rewards, and the little guys like me get 0. Even if I do manage to get to second round I rarely manage to get into top 100. I can only dream about top 64.

This is a real let down for me, as I used to get a couple of hundred SPS per season from Gold and Silver Tournaments and now with this new format I'm down to flat 0. I know what y'all gonna say - it's a skill issue, and I agree, I'm far from being the most skilful player around. But there used to be a couple of tournaments that were meant for players like me, not top 100 players in the game, with lesser rewards, but still some rewards.

I'm afraid I won't play any tournaments this next season, as it's a waste of my time, as things look like now. If they expand the number of players that get rewards back to 128, or somehow help us little players, I will definitely come back, because I love playing tournaments. It's just no fun, at the moment.

I achieved the best result in the Summun Infuria Modern Silver Invitational, last tournament played in the old format, where I placed in 52nd position and got reward of 27 SPS. I didn't even get through to 2nd round and I still got some reward.

Highlight battle of this season for me was a tournament battle against @hellslash in the first tournament f the new format, Poseidar Wild Silver Invitational, where I placed only 165th. I managed to get to round 2, but lost most of my battles there. Most, but not this one.
This one was special, because @hellslash is one of the best Gold players, always topping both Modern and Wild Gold league leaderboards (back when they existed), and I played him numerous times, mostly loosing to him. 😞

My win probably cost him a couple of places in the final standings and 20-ish SPS. 😄
