My SPL Season 189 Recap

Dear Splinterlands Community!

In this article, I would like to summarize my last season.

My basic strategy:

• Playing in both the Modern and Wild League
• Letting XBOT play in the Wild League with a minimum energy cap of 25
• Renting cards primarily for the Wild League (mainly Chaos Legion max-level cards)
• Constantly buying new cards for the Modern League

Let's see the results!

Modern League

I could play more this season. The 155 battles helped me to stay in the Gold II League.

Wild League

My costs had three parts:

• Wild League Pass (always 2,000 DEC)
• Card rental fees (5,840 DEC this season)
• XBOT service fee (2,753 DEC this season)

Total DEC spent: 10,593 (~$3.94 while writing this article)

I rented the following cards for the whole season:

• Nearly all Chaos Legion Core max-level cards
• All Chaos Legion Reward 1 max-level cards
• Max-level Lux Vega
• Max-level Helios Matriarch
• Max-level Arkemis the Bear, Vruz

With this setup, my account played 297 battles and finished in Champion III:

New cards

I also obtained some new cards during the season. I have several watchlist items for sale price discounts at SplinterTrends (https://splintertrends.com). With their help, I shot these cards:

Mahkah Hemplig ($1.500)

Gold Blue Wyrm Travesty ($0.550)

Gold level 4 Marlai Singariel ($1.500)

Gold level 3 Thalgrimore ($0.466)

Level 2 Lifeward Channeler ($0.349)

And a few minor ones (Anachron Bolter, 11x Marlai Singariel, 10x Barthalamas)

My primary focus now is to build max-level Foundation Archon cards.

My current progress:

• Barthalamas (max level)
• Gold Marlai Singariel (max level)
• Gold Aurelia (level 3)
• Incessant Sage (max level)
• Gold Thalgrimore (level 3)
