Splat - Build in public #5

Hello, everyone. Following the latest major changes to Splatt, which I had been waiting for for quite some time, I have decided to focus now on the front-end aspect of the application, and more specifically on the configuration that several of you had reported to me as being complex. It will now be done in stages.

A completely redesigned user experience.

In order to guide users through their first steps on Splatt, the idea is to make the configuration as simple and intuitive as possible. It is now broken down into four steps. The first step involves entering the name of the configuration and agreeing to the delegation of rights so that purchases and sales can be made on your behalf via the service.

The next step is the basic configuration, where you will indicate the maximum price of the cards you want to buy, as well as the minimum price, for example to exclude deals that are too low in value, the minimum discount threshold you want to buy, here for example it is 20%, and the third party. As a reminder, the higher the third, the higher your priority, but the less cashback you will receive from the service.

The third step is absolutely crucial. This is where you will develop your strategy. First, indicate which foil levels you want to buy or not. Only standard, gold, arcane, black—anything goes. The editions you want to buy or not, as well as trading options. Be sure to enable auto-sell and active trading, as well as active config, if you want a 100% automated experience. The bulk purchase box allows you to make bulk purchases when possible. For example, when a deal comes up with several cards at the same price.

Finally, here is the last step of the configuration: advanced settings. First, you have the minimum gain. This is a security filter that prevents a card from being automatically listed below a defined threshold.

You can also manage the minimum and maximum number of cards in a deal. It is important to understand that if, for example, a deal comes up with 10 cards and you have a maximum card quantity of less than 10, then you will not buy it. This is particularly useful for high-value cards such as gold and black cards.

The maximum card level simply indicates the maximum level of the card you want to buy or not. I also strongly advise you to set up anti-manipulation, which will prevent you from accidentally buying cards following a massive purchase for resale at a price that is not at all attractive. You specify the minimum number of cards that must remain on the market for the deal to be taken into account.

Finally, the minimum deck threshold and auto-reactivation allow you to automatically deactivate and/or reactivate the service when your balance falls below the given threshold.

That's it, your configuration is ready. All you have to do now is make some great deals and refine your strategy by going to the dashboard to see what's working well and what isn't, or to the chart page to analyze data from the entire application. Enjoy, and see you soon!
