Thanks for letting people knopw about the nature of the SPF token. I was going to include it as part of a post briefly covering 22 Splinterlands tokens listed in Hive Engine. Now the post I will publish soon will note that SPF isn't part of the Spinterlands ecosystem.

During my research on Hive Engine I discovered 2 other Splinterlands-related tokens which seemed questionable:

TokenNameIssuerLinkDescription @ Hive Engine
DECRDark Energy Crystals Rewards@geraldine04https://discord.gg/V47w92NVvVList of token holders will be update daily. Top 10 token holders will share price pool monthly. We will start with 1000DEC pool and 2000SIM pool. DEC and SIM pools will increase daily until last day of the month.*** PLEASE JOIN US ON DISCORD***
SGTSplinter Games Token@chansetheguyhttps://splintergames.io/The official token for the Splinter Games ecosystem.

DECR may be real; at least 18 people appear on the Rich List, and there has been recent (if sporadic) activity at according to LeoDex. However, the link given by Hive Engine for more information about DECR appears to be outdated. Hive Engine shows that "@"geraldine04 issued or made DECR.

SGT may be bogus; the Rich List for SGT is empty, and LeoDex doesn'y list SGT (even though Hive Engine shows it). Also, the link given by Hive Engine for more information about SGT goes nowhere. Hive Engine shows that "@"chansetheguy issued or made SGT.

It looks to me as if DECR is real but SGT is not; I don't know. Would you know if these Hive Engine tokens claiming to be part of the Splinterlands ecosystem are genuine?

Hey magnacarta!

The Splinter Games Token is not affiliated with Splinterlands but is a token I created to lock up the name in case I want to use it in a future system for the Splinter Games discord.

Splinter Games is a Discord based service designed for Splinterlands players to hangout, chat, and wager DEC or SPS against other players who want to do the same! It contains a variety of activities such as real in-game Splinterlands matches, dice roll style betting, and paper-rock-scissors style betting. All activities available through the service are created to be played by players against other players, rather than against the house. There is also a faucet system which allows any registered player to earn free DEC and/or SPS!

If you or anyone else reading this is interested; please check us out!

Thank you for getting back to me! You clarified a number of concerns I had regarding the token.

First, I need to apologize for saying that SGT was bogus. I went by the limited information I had as well as the limited activity I saw at Hive Engine and LeoDex.

So if I understand your reply correctly, SGT is a token for the Splinterlands players to earn away from the actual game when they visit the Discord server. It's like taking a vacation from actual game play while still having fun. It's also like a spin-off from the main game.

So SGT is for real, just not affiliated. DECR seems to be for real, but I'm awaiting confirmation. So this leaves Sun Protection Factor (SPF-- the Splinterlands Fan token) as the likely scam token.
