Bronze League

I've been playing Splinterlands for 3 seasons now, and I must say I've got a lot of experience under my belt. I've played in the Diamond league by renting cards which is expensive. I wouldn't recommend you do it.

I have observed some good strategies in the Bronze league that can help you win more and get over 1,000+ ratings.

  1. Bronze league is easy when your rating is below 1500. Trust me on this; it's gruesome to climb the top 20 of the leaderboard in Bronze.
  2. Legendary summoners are OP in bronze if you use them right, namely Yodin Zaku, Scarred Llama Mage, and Byzantine Kitty, if you can afford to rent them. But I wouldn't recommend renting them because they're too expensive!
  3. Archer is good and rarely used in the Bronze league. So I recommend you use them and start renting Selenia Sky; if you can find cheap rent for her, let's say ranging from 20-30, that's a steal.
  4. Don't play with Water too much, or you'll drown. I know they're the new meta in bronze with the addition of Venari Wavesmith. Players always play it in their water line-up.
  5. This is why Owster Rotwell became popular. He's the Water stopper. That's why it's worth the risk to play him, especially when you see the opponent use Water in their last 5 matches. Though we don't know which Splinter the opponent will use, I bet if you guest it right, you'll love to watch the match rather than skip it.
  6. Play to earn the rating, rent cheap, and only a few monsters are worth renting on their level 2 and 3.
  • Here are some monsters that are very good renting in Bronze.
  • Water - Sea Genie 3, Sea Monster 3 Captains Ghost, Kelp Initiate, Venari Wavesmith. Alric 2* if you can find 20-30DEC rental price.
  • Dragon - Selena Sky, Scale doctor, Fire Spitter.
  • Creeping Ooze and Furious Chicken should always be in your line-up all the time if possible.

Those are just some Splinters that I think are really good in Bronze.

Lastly, Enjoy The Game. The bronze league is the least stressful league in Splinterlands. It's cheap, and you get a chance to get cards every day through Daily quest.

PS. This is base on my own opinion on playing cheap and simple in Splinterlands. I'll do a follow-up post after the season, and we'll see where I will end up on the leader board.
