SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! SPINEBACK TURTLE! Presented to you by Pix21
Hello everyone,
I had missed a few share your battles previously so today's one will be the theme of the week which is the Spineback Turtle
THEME: Spineback TurtleEdition: ALPHA/BETA
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Thorns at level 4
The most notable skill of Spineback Turtle is the thorns that is very useful against melee opponents.
Thorns:
When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker, Has an upper cap of 2
The Spineback Turtle has a low mana costs of 4 so it is always useful for medium mana battles, and even for low mana battles as the sole attacker it has it's value, especially against melee when paired with a monster with the repair ability.
Let's move on to the battle, the ruleset for my battle was Silenced Summoner and Healed Out, with a low-medium Mana cap at 16. This mana range is usually great for the Llama + Flesh Golem combo but since no healing is applied to the rule, I chose the water deck as the water deck has some cheap attackers
Positioning and Choice of Monsters
Summoner:
Vera Salacia
Main reason being Vera is one of the cheapest summoners for a lvl 3 summoner. Since summoner does not have any effect, the opponent shall not have any buffs from summoners
Spineback Turtle in First Position:
My turtle has thorns, so this will very useful as tank.
Furious chicken in 2nd Position
To tank a hit from the enemy
Pelacor Bandit in 3rd Position:
Low cost, but with good speed and sneak to attack enemy's backline.
Halfling Alchemist in 4th Position and Naga Windmaster in 5th:
The Halfling is low cost and can reduce enemy attacks so they will be inflicted by thorns more and the naga windmaster will reduce ranged attacks. Also the naga windmaster have a decent attack of 2.
Round 1:
In the first round, the snipe attack from the enemy pirate captain killed my furious chicken. My naga windmaster managed to damage the enemy's turtle armor which was further removed when attacked by my halfling alchemist. However the double sneak attacks from the enemy killed of my naga in the first round. Things are not looking that well as the enemy still has all monsters alive.
Round 2:
Thanks to the greater speed of my pelacor bandit, the enemy Uraeus was killed at the start of the round. The halfling took two hits from the shark and pirate before finally dying.
The enemy turtle gets damaged by thorns from my turtle and similarly mine too when attack.
Round 3:
In the 3rd round, the shark missed his attack on my flying monster 😁 and the spineback turtle got killed by the thorns from my turtle
Round 4:
In round 4, the quick and speedy bandit killed off the pirate captain, and the thorns from my turtle causes both monsters to perish together. With my bandit still alive at the end, a close victory is secured.
Victory:
What do I like about Spineback Turtle most:
The THORNS! and the Low Cost! and the high health!
What I do not like?
None so far!
I have not posted much on the daily rewards quests mainly because I haven't been getting any great loots. Do follow me and I try to post more exciting battles in future if time permits. So far my journey in Splinterlands have been filled with ups and downs, hopefully with the launch of Chaos Legion general sales, there will be more opportunity for new players like me to grow more with the games.
