Battling With My New Rented Cards - Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

Hi splinterlands community, this is my entry to the social media challenge for this week. I use my account playmaker1 to play splinterlands. This week's challenge is writing about any battle and I will be sharing a battle I played after renting new cards.

Ruleset and Its Meaning

The battle I am sharing was played with the wands out ruleset. Wands out means that only magic cards are used in the battle. Fortunately for me, I had rented some cards and the magic cards were among them.

Summoner and Team Choices

I selected this water summoner for the battle. I had magic cards in the water element which I hoped would help me in the battle. The summoner gave all my monsters +1 shield and +1 speed.

My enemy selected this earth summoner which gave all my cards -1 speed. Luckily, it didn't affect me due to my summoner which gave me +1 speed.

Round 1

---

When I first saw my opponent's first card it was new to me. I read the stats which were crazy and so I thought I would lose. The battle started and my opponent attacked first but luckily for me, that attack on my first card did no damage.

My cards turned out to be of big help. Djinn Oshanus reduced the magic attacks while Riverboat did damage to my opponent's second card and first card at the same time. My water caller helped to stun my opponent's first card.

We both continued to attack and at the end of round 1, none of our cards were killed.

Round 2

Same attack patterns as the one in round 1 ensued but this time by halfway of the battle, I killed my opponent's first card. At the end of the battle my opponent had 4 cards remaining.

Round 3

At the beginning of round 3, I killed my opponent's Regal Peryton. My cards continued to attack my opponent and almost got the health of magi of chaos to 1 but luckily for my opponent, its first card was healed to 4.

Round 4

---

At the start of round 4, my Nerissa Tridawn killed my opponent's Magi of chaos card. My third card which was Riverboat Captain also killed my opponent's Queen Mycelia.

Round 5

When round 5 started I knew I had won the battle already. My opponent had one card remaining with a low health while I still had all of my cards.

I won the battle in the 5th round while still having all my cards.
