Farming DEC in Lower Leagues: Is It Worth It?

Short answer? A bit, but you can do better! Long answer? Read on!
Now a lot of people have to leave their comfort zone of the Bronze league if they want to earn the same amount of DEC that they used to prior to all the updates. Instead of the initial 10 USD investment, you need a bit more to help you get started renting and climbing the ranks once you're comfortable with the game. The question is, "where should you farm?". That question is for you to find out yourself, but here's a rough overview of how it looks like right now to farm in these leagues.
Average Earnings Today from Silver 3 to Gold 3
With the recent update, this is the average base DEC rewards per fight per level based on my experience (numbers shown are 100% ECR)
- Silver 3 - 7-10
- Silver 2 - 10-15
- Silver 1 - 14-20
- Gold 3 - 40-60
Average Rentals Today from Silver 3 to Gold 3
With the advent of automatic rental bids, I was able to get some sweet deals but based on the people I've asked, this is the expected cost.
- Silver 3 - 100
- Silver 2 - 250
- Silver 1 - 400
- Gold 3 - 500 (For an additional Splinter around 300 DEC more)
The earnings went way higher than what I was expecting for Gold 3. This is great news because it was quite costly to rent. you have to be darn lucky to get great deals. So the more money you're willing to put into renting, the better your opportunities are.
What to Do Now?
I suggest study and learn to fight in the higher leagues. Time is money and it's best to earn as much as you can for the amount of time you're willing to put. Efficiency is key!
What's Next for Me?
Moving forward, I will be competing in higher leagues. I have two accounts that are in upper gold trying to get to diamond. My initial goal of entering champion during the start of the season is proving to be even harder and more costly than anticipated due to the recent changes. I am still up for the challenge.

Do you know about the DEC liquidity pools? I'm intrigued but I'm having a hard time finding concise and quality intel on DEC liquidity pools.
